This game was shite. Seriously.
It's a bloody great game! I'm more into Fallout though since I don't fancy fantasy that much, but this game is so awesome.
Arcanum needs Talking Heads. :P
How is multiplayer? Is it just like single player but with people?
Multiplayer... I dunno. I never tried it to be honest. I just finished the game with a good character. I killed the last boss with a dagger :P The ending videos were pretty good! :D
Incoming PLing. He loves this game a bit too much. I never personally fancied it though. The music is way too annoying too :/
I wholeheartly approve of this thread. Arcanum is a brilliant game, probably my favourite one of all time. The amount of content in the world is just amazing, Oblivions and whatnot pale in comparison in my opinion.
Incoming PLing. He loves this game a bit too much. Right on schedule, as always.
Looks good. I remember playing D&D:Temple of Elemental Evil which looks similar to this, hope it's better though.
I remember that Virgil and the dog you get from helping it hate my character because it's so tech orientated and Virgil is a mage. :V I just wish he'd realise that and won't waste his spells on me because I'm so tech they just fail instantly. Also, I'm not so sure on the Vista compatibility, I never got mine working and in the end it didn't even run through the install program after I uninstalled the non-working one and tried to reinstall. I suppose it works if you're lucky or can use google.

The UI lags if you don't use "-doublebuffer" though.
Need a bit of help at the first town with finding the [sp]constable[/sp].
He's in the town square by the well.
Argh, this is fun but frustrating. I managed to save up enough for a fancy flintlock but otherwise I'm just getting owned by everything I try to fight.
Damn that's addicting.
Fucking epic, you can buy seeing glasses, they give you +1 Perception, but only if you have 6 or less!
Haha, check it.
Ahaha, perfect timing. I blurted out some of my drink on my keyboard from laughing :C Getting the demo now, this game looks awesome. It sounds like something I've wanted for a long time.
Haha, check it.
fallout reference? I tried the demo and i didn't expect this. It has the quality of fallout. Demo is kinda short though.
What do FR, FT, and NR stand for?
fallout reference? I tried the demo and i didn't expect this. It has the quality of fallout. Demo is kinda short though.
This is made by Troika, they were somehow related to Fallout. I think Tim Cain worked for Troika, but I can be wrong.
Hyghhhhhh I played a demo of this years and years ago but I never could find it in shops, is it abandonware now or can I buy it from somewhere?
This is made by Troika, they were somehow related to Fallout. I think Tim Cain worked for Troika, but I can be wrong.
Troika was started by some former Interplay employees. Tim Cain as you mentioned, was one of founders, yes.

love this game, Wish I had it atm.
Demo link?
http://www.terra-arcanum.com/ I know how to use google guys.
Is this turn based?
Is this turn based?
It can be.
There's full turn based, semi-turn based (realtime with turn based battles, recommended) and if you really want to harm yourself, there's real time mode. But everything moves so bloody fast in real time combat that the battle is over in under 10 seconds and you don't have enough time to do anything.
Is there a way to play through the singleplayer campaign in multiplayer? With a third-party mod or something?
