Is there currently any news on the API that Jens is working on? Really want to update to 1.1 but the technic pack hasn't updated yet.
This is by far, one of the best re-skin for mobs I have ever seen. One last question: With reverting to these old versions and loading these old maps, is there any way to do multiplayer?
Only if the server is on a compatible version.
lololololololololol this bow is pretty good mang Apparently with UK English set as the language, "power" becomes "damage" instead.
lololololololololol Apparently with UK English set as the language, "power" becomes "damage" instead.
That's because in the UK, the people have no power. Oh and Migga I have played all of your maps you are my hero and I love you :3
It makes me sad that you can't repair enchanted items. It's like watching your child slowly slip away and you can't do anything about it.
Only if the server is on a compatible version.
So is there old, alpha-level server software anywhere?
Just tried out GLSL Shaders with dynamic shadows for the first time, this is awesome!

Does it lag much? :v:
Jeb implementing this along with that realistic water shader in vanilla. A man can dream.
Jeb may as well implement time bombs in to people's computers.
Why did you post the image in the Minecraft Forum Thread, why not post your own screenshot?
Because his PC was too shit to run it, but he said it could because he wants to make his e-peen bigger.
Because his PC was too shit to run it, but he said it could because he wants to make his e-peen bigger.
I already upgraded to 1.1, I only tried it out on 1.0.0 and didn't make screenshots then. I just wanted to show people this mod, but whatever. [editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
Any server owners know why mobs don't drop XP and on old chunks there's a very reduced friendly mob spawn rate?
I think the friendly mob spawn problem might be because they only get spawned once, when the chunk gets created. So all chunks before 1.8 have almost no friendly mobs.

Alright, on the adventure map, I got a good set up I think. You can break cracked bricks, ore blocks, and monster spawners, but you can't craft anything. There are merchants and traders scattered across the dungeon, and you can find golden nuggets (Or coins) scattered across the world in chests and stuff. Merchant sell things and traders buy things, you can also find people like tailors or black smiths who will either buy leather or ore from you or will make armor for you.

An example of a shop. There will be notes and an inconsequential story line (as in it exists and it is interesting, but you don't have to pay attention) and your character knows why you are in the dungeon, but the players himself does not, and has to find out through playing. Armor/weapons bought from shops will break and have no enchantments, but armor/weapons found in dungeons will last forever and can sometimes have enchantments on them like fire or sharpness or something. Also, I'll provide a base male/female skin for the player to customize.
Umm... don't they despawn? Or is that just for other mobs?
Only hostile mobs despawn.
Well, I didn't spot anything out of the ordinary such as modded blocks or anything, the world is just corrupt, create a new one or steer away from that general direction and find reed elsewhere.
He could delete the chunk data in MCedit, and it will generate new random chunk data where the old corrupted stuff was. I had to do this when I created a massive TNT ball and was unable to load my map. I had to delete the whole chunk.
Oh, and here's the map. Give it a try if you'd like. http://filesmelt.com/dl/Dungeon_Crawler.zip
Alright, on the adventure map, I got a good set up I think.
How did you make it so that people would have to deposit gold so they'd get something in return? Pressure plates?
Note 1 "I heard you fighting out there, you seem like a strong warrior. Suprisingly enough I haven't gotten much buisness down here, but it seems like a man like you could use some of these quality goods! Take a look around. What? You've never seen a store before? Well let me fill you in; I'm a Merchant. You can buy things from me, and I'll display whatever I've got for you. The signs will say how much an item costs. Just throw over the amount of gold it costs and press the button! However, there are Traders around here, and they'll buy things from you, but they won't sell you anything!" Basically you just throw the gold over. Techniqually you could just steal everything, but you kind of have to pretend it doesn't work like that and you pay in gold.
I'd love some pressure plates that could only be triggered by the player. I remember reading about something like that a while back, but never heard about it again.
Stone Brick Pressure Plates :V
There was some mod that included obsidian pressure plates that did that, can't remember what it was though.
Pretty sure it was Better than wolves, but it has so much other unncessary shit that it might not be worth it.
