Anyone have any good Offline Mode servers? Or a site with Offline Server IPs?
Stop trying to get help finding servers with your pirated minecraft.
-snip-
What mod adds the turtles and biome grass?
Came across this ExtraBiomes Mod. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/ch0Q[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/cgY2[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/ch0b[/img_thumb] Feels sort of like alpha's generation.
Gonna repost since last thread was closed right after I posted it. I griefed a friends server while he was gone. Reason why we did it was because we were arguing over who griefed whos structure and there were 3 half-assed enderman statues that were made within like 5 minutes and a wooden plank house that had nothing in it. When he came back he threw his headset and I could hear him screaming in the background. I still don't know why he got so pissed.
oh damn nigguh Will that make chunk borders with worlds generated without the mod?
I think so, the creator stated that this mod is best used with new worlds, but will still work on existing ones.
Damn, that extra boimes mod is awesome.
I've been losing interest with Minecraft, but I still want to play it more. Anyone know good ways to get me back into it? I've built enough to last for years already.
Stop trying to get help finding servers with your pirated minecraft.
Offline Mode =/= Pirated, jackass.
Offline Mode =/= Pirated, jackass.
I don't see why you would need offline mode servers if you have legally purchased the game, and the fact you have asked for the most recent minecraft.jar in the past doesn't back up your point.
I've had an idea for using a minecraft world that includes modded items/blocks with normal minecraft. The idea is, when a mod adds a new block or item, it would also pair it up with one of the default minecraft blocks or items which would be saved with the world. and if minecraft updates, removing those new blocks, it would temporarily replace those blocks. certain properties will be taken from the temporary replacement such as if these items take the appearance of ores, they will use the strength of those ores or fences/steps would take the shape as well. A picture might explain better. this stuff added from mods wouldn't permanently be changed into Minecraft stuff, it would still be listed as its own ID, but until the mod that originally added those items is back they will stay in the game as a useless item/block that will use the appearance of a default minecraft item. what I think happens when minecraft loads a world with a non-existent item/block, the item will simply be removed from the world and next time the world is saved (like 10 seconds) the items are gone forever. [thumb]http://u.cubeupload.com/rob54362/meinkraftidea.jpg[/thumb] You don't understand? It's my fault for being terrible at explaining.
Offline Mode =/= Pirated, jackass.
Stop being an ass about it, you jackass.
I miss when Minecraft was all about building. No one cared about bugs in the game (most people found a way to use the bugs to their advantage). There wasn't any redstone computers, or mods like buildcraft (not that these are bad). It was build cool shit, with friends. Sorry about the rant.
What mod adds the turtles and biome grass?
Turtles are added with the Mo'Creatures mod and the biome grass is the result of using worldpainter to create a flat world.

Picture of the 100% player made trade city "Mir'Vaal" on my minecraft server: [thumb]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/goosesminecraftserver/images/0/0a/2011-12-31_16.28.52.png[/thumb] I'm very proud of my members for putting this together. There are tons of shops in the city, and the factions have "ships" that take them back and forth from places. (It's basically a pair of teleport nodes that are on a 6 minute interval. But in order to have one, you have to build a ship that passes an admin inspection. If it looks like a ship, the admin makes it into a "port" and its ready to be linked.)
Found a new creation map to explore, it looks pretty nifty And it's massive, it's still a WIP, so not everything's done, but they are aiming to create this entire area shown in this graphical representation of their project [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] I am trying to render an isometric view of what they have finished using cartograph G but it just crashes when I try to render the map.
this pigman decided to climb a lavafall :v:
I am trying to render an isometric view of what they have finished using cartograph G but it just crashes when I try to render the map.
I don't think Carto G likes anything above a gig or something. I try to render my 2.3 gigabyte world and it crashes. It's bumming me out.
I guess that would make sense, the map is 1.52 gb, when uncompressed [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] Well, it seems to be rendering a normal non isometric map of the world, but it is horribly slow, but that makes sense.
The entire city? or just that temple/palace thing?
The entire city it seems. [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline]
Normal is just the top-down, right?
Yes [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] Not sure if he is planning on actually building the small houses, because that just seems impossible, he'll probably only build the general area and important buildings. [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] Some info about the project:
About Project 1845 Project 1845 in a nutshell is a 1:1 scale replica of the ENTIRE Beijing City back in 1845C.E and its Major Landmarks. This entire project is eligible to become a world record once completed at the largest 1:1 scale replica user-built building project in the entire sandbox game genre. Please take note that almost all major landmarks on themselves are world-first 1:1 scale builds at least, due to complexity and lack of simple schematics. Below is some basic bullet point statistics: Scale: 1:1 ( 1 block = 1 Cubic Meter ) Map Size: 11,600 x 10,000 Blocks (116 square kilometers) Time to Complete: Approx 20th December 2014 Total Amount of Blocks: 2.1 Billion Blocks Amount of Buildings: ~360-420,000 Current Progress: 1.3% Total Completed Week 26 (171+ Days) of Construction 27,373,822 Blocks Used So Far Approximately 208 Weeks to Go
[editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] Forgot to mention, it appears he is legitimately collecting and placing the blocks, so yeah, that is pretty darn impressive.
Much more rewarding when you do it vanilla.
How does he even expect to finish a 1:1 replica of an entire city legit Is that even humanly possible It's like that guy trying to walk to the Farlands :v:
How does he even expect to finish a 1:1 replica of an entire city legit Is that even humanly possible It's like that guy trying to walk to the Farlands :v:
It just takes days of walking nonstop, or a way that lets you walk without holding W.
