The new wolf AI is pretty good if I do say so myself, and when I made a new world to try it out I spawned right in a jungle biome. The new leaf texture is kind of ass, but other than that it looks neat. Goddamn, I fucking love jeb. I want to have sex with his bum while he codes :V
Can you share your world seed please? I've been looking around for about 10 minutes but still haven't found a jungle. [editline]a[/editline] Nevermind. Just spotted this after walking some more: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/64mKQD.png[/t]
The leaf textures looks strange to me and horizontal grain on the bark will take some getting use to.
Just found my first world ever I built a fucking aqueduct because I didn't know what buckets were
Other than some dodgy textures the new jungles are really cool. I hope the jungle exclusive mobs climb trees and shit.
I really want to know about the new jungle mobs. I really don't care what they are so long as they're either useful for something or dangerous.
http://mojang.com/2012/01/19/minecraft-snapshot-12w03a/ Jeb uploaded the minecraft jar that has the jungle biomes. Sorry if late.
Dispensers will place mobs instead of releasing the spawner egg
Hell yes  It's a shame the eggs can only be obtained with creative mode though
Here's a video I found with the Jungle Biomes if you want a peek before downloading it [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] New trees have "sideways" logs, palm-tree esque bark and new thicker leaves! And climbable vines to makethe woodcutting process easier!
Found a seed the spawns you right in a jungle.
i really hope jungle dirt will get a new texture
the wolves finally stop jumping down to their death. They tend to start spinning around a bit though and still fall when they get pushed by one another. [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] Also, I like the jungle
this is awesome
The fairies are having a party at the swamps near the mayan village A ton of them. I am wondering why Kodaichi has this obsession with making female mobs mods (Fairies, Succubus, that one cat that turns into a girl, charlotte etc)
make a thread for the love of god I love reading your stuff
I am gonna test this mod:
Sim-U-Kraft v0.2.0 BETA for Minecraft 1.1 What is it? It extends and changes the Single player gameplay a little by adding aspects of ‘Sim city’ and ‘The Sims’ to the game. Start a new game or an existing map and “Sim-U-Folks” will wander into town. You can employ them to work for you, as you start off with only 10.00 Sim-U-Credits, the first thing would be to employ a Sim-U-Folk to build a house, they will then move in and start paying you rent each day. You can then use this money to employ more Sim-U-Folks to build up a huge city.
and this map: Together. And I may or may not post images, depending on how well it goes.
I hope the canopy of the jungles gets thicker. Seems like them constantly being a dangerous environment would make them very interesting.
Is jeb making the heads too big on purpose, or is it not possible to make smaller heads?

The new zombie path finding is amazing [vid]http://puu.sh/dVsM[/vid]
The new zombie path finding is amazing [vid]http://puu.sh/dVqE[/vid]
Holoy shit.
The new zombie path finding is amazing vid
That's way better than I thought.
The new zombie path finding is amazing [vid]http://puu.sh/dVsM[/vid]
Bah, I've made a bad example...
The new zombie path finding is amazing [vid]http://puu.sh/dVsM[/vid]
Oh god, we're all doomed
Holy shit the new Zombie AI is scary their pathfinding is quite awesome now I was just lurking up in a tree and hear a zombie beneath me, I peek over to investigate and I see him heading for the staircase I built for myself HE ACTUALLY WALKED UP THE STAIRCASE TO CONFRONT ME OH GOD I would have shat myself if I didn't see the update notes on the snapshot :v:
I do not like the idea of intelligent zombies :(
Yeah it's really neat. I hope they can recognize ladders & vines too. [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] zombies (and wolves) do not notice and use ladders or veins sadly enough. Although I noticed this what happened to his head?
I hope they dumb it down a bit. It just doesn't feel right, the zombies feel too smart with the new pathfinding.
They should give it to the testies instead.
I hope they dumb it down a bit. It just doesn't feel right, the zombies feel too smart with the new pathfinding.
It does give zombies a unique threat trait though. Like how creepers ambush and explode walls, skeletons circle and attack you from range, and spiders can climb and see you through walls. Now zombies are smart enough to be able to use the same paths as you do and won't get stuck in walls. [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] As long as they never learn how to open doors I'll be alright with this change
I hope they dumb it down a bit. It just doesn't feel right, the zombies feel too smart with the new pathfinding.
It's already dumb enough, they don't even try to jump across 1 block gaps to reach you unless they absolutely HAVE to.
As long as they never learn how to open doors I'll be alright with this change
OH HELL NO.
