I was thinking of getting Buildcraft, I kinda like the idea of having factories and stuff spewing out building materials as I'm venturing in the deeps killing mobs and stuff.
Especially version 3 which will make neat train-tunnels very easy and fast to build :v:
Does v2 have that builder-thingy in it too? v3 crashes on 1.1 bad

The GPU used in the 3800 is based on the GTX 200 series, and I'll guess that it might be the same as a GTX 260. Drivers are different, though, and it's not as good for gaming. I'll recommend that you save up ~1700SEK and get something like a GTX 560, though you may want to wait for the new 7*** generation Radeon cards. Post your PSU as well, otherwise I won't be able to tell whether it'll handle it.

Where can I check what PSU I have?
On the physical PSU it does not stand.

Coal goes in from the bottom, things to be smelted on the top and extraction on either side with a redstone engine on a wooden pipe

Nevermind found it. It's a 525W, the 560 have an 'atleast 500W' requiremenet. Seems like it's a go, as soon as I get the comp to work properly

I have concluded that Jungle Biomes are the safest type of biome for the first night of a save.
The transparent leaves allow a relatively mob-free canopy, which can be climbed into and lived in safely.
I've been experimenting in a new save with snapshot 12w03a, and currently nothing has attacked me, despite no torches during the night.

Fuck, I uploaded the older version of the adv map and I tested out the newer version myself without making a backup, and so now I have to go back and add in all the spawners again and all the items. Fuuuuckkkkkkkk

What's the best way to get XP? My mob farm doesn't work for shit because I can't hit them in the legs, So I have to kill them in a different position causing the creepers to explode all the damn time.

I think the Blaze Grinder is the best XP farm. It's pretty complicated to set up, but you get the most XP and all you need to kill them are snowballs or potions. Plus you get rods for powder.
By the way, Can I still pick up mob spawners with Silk Touch?
Nope. Ice and Spawners simply break.
