I made a 1 block wide repeater it is 4X4
Yep, they've added the first snapshot of the year. Content is as follows: Check the DL links here. *Client: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w01a/minecraft.jar *Server: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w01a/minecraft_server.jar See if there's any bugs that pop up in this version. Also link to the blog article: http://mojang.com/2012/01/05/minecraft-snapshot-12w01a/
Oh god...He fixed the ladders :v:
The first goal is to add breeding support to wolves
this wasn't spawned, we went to the end and found this so i made everyone creative and we tried to stab them all we gave up
Try opening up a single player save that you completely forgot about and finding 30 dragons flying around the overworld spawn, which are all nose-diving for you and carving out a nuclear blast crater in the process.
The language options on the new snapshot have pirate speak. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5210835/PIRATESPEAK.png[/t]
I'd like themes and shit like in indev, and a limited map option. Or at least a border. Working within a confined area is challenging. Not for MP though.
The language options on the new snapshot have pirate speak. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5210835/PIRATESPEAK.png[/t]
The copyright text isn't in pirate! MY IMMERSION
Once the wolf breeding is added, it's time to raise an army of wolves.
NEW MINIGAME: [t]http://i.imgur.com/D8B9J.png[/t] Hardcore Superflat Slime Hunt! (alternate title: Hardc0re MLG xXxPr0_SlimeSl4ppingxXx Frag Snipe COD Mode) How many slimeballs can YOU collect before you die? (ps actually kinda fun)
NEW MINIGAME: Hardcore Superflat Slime Hunt! How many slimeballs can YOU collect before you die? (ps actually kinda fun)
I got to about 20 before they mobbed me. This is actually really fun. It's too bad Flatworld doesn't work in the Nether, or we could do the same thing with Magma Cubes...except they don't drop anything, which would make it kinda hard. edit: New high score: About 60 before succumbing to starvation.
They should add zombie breeding.
They should add wheat breeding
breeding with villagers
Make every entity in the game breedable. Boat breeding, yeah!
oh god imagine what minecraft would be like if jeb was the one who made it from the start
So I generated a new map since I wanted a map that was only a desert. and I stumbled upon this: Now all I need is a pyramid or an ancient egyptian themed temple, place it in the middle of that, and I'll be set.
oh god imagine what minecraft would be like if jeb was the one who made it from the start
Less buggy, I'd imagine. And Notch would just be some dude who codes Java games for a living and has a smelly hat. Funny to think how different things could have been.

That's incredible.... Imagine being lost with friends in a seeming less desert like that. The old deserts in Minecraft looked rather stupid. This one looks amazing. Just make them a bit less higher. Also, Hooray for Minecraft updates! Maybe Minecraft will become more populair once again. And don't give me the crap that Minecraft is still as populair because it's not. (We're not grinding through several megathreads a week:v) [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] The fact that they hired the maker of Cube World is rather good. I mean the guy obviously has feeling for gameplay, quests and stuff like that.
Install a few ruins mods and that would be incredible.
Actually I have CARuins installed and there are a bunch of random ruins/structures scattered around the desert.
Has anybody checked the "decreased randomness" of Enchanting yet? I'm curious as to how it's been improved. Also, speaking of Enchanting, I currently have 11 Souls on my bar. That's right, i'm calling the experience levels souls. As far as i'm concerned, the experience levels aren't really levels; they're just numbers you use to enchant things, you don't unlock new abilities or whatever by getting them, you just use them to enchant items. To me, the "experience" orbs are bits of souls that the enemies drop upon death. Personally i'd rather the "experience levels" acted like skill points or whatever; they could still be called souls anyway, but for now they're just the sole ingredients for enchantments, not levels at all. Hopefully this wol_lay chap will help refine this kinda system now that he's on board.

remember that guy who made the rainbow dash pixel art on my server? he did it again, 'cept this time he made the other end. WARNING NSFW PONY ASS i've deopped him, finally :v:
That's rather disturbing.
Shit, I think, instead of making it look cooler, I made it look worse. [editline]yeah[/editline] I'll try to get an Egyptian theme going tomorrow.
My server is back up, check the server thread http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1153106 .

That is simultaneously disturbing and awesome. Though if that's the case, it's a bit baffling why mobs drop multiple orbs. Oh wait, it's obviously parts of their personality. When you kill a creeper and 4 orbs drop, you know he was one charismatic guy.
Does that make the Enderdragon was the Most Interesting Dragon In The World?
