Nothing much to talk about anymore. The only news in the world of MC is the possibility for the future because of who Mojang is hiring. Jeb's hard at work actually finishing the game as-is before adding hot new things to talk about. Last I heard he's working on the Mod API while the new AI guy is working on mobs and the Cubeworld guy will soon be working on structure for the NPC towns. After all of the current features get sorted out then I imagine they'll start adding new stuff again.
After watching some Cubeworld videos I imagine that he'll also be working on new mobs and getting structures to generate in more smoothly than they currently do. Maybe he'll even work on some new official textures? (rainbows)
Am I the only one getting problems with that new snapshot? I can't hear any sound.

What is the quickest way to go from bedrock to surface level? I haven't played in a while, last I remembered boat ladders were king, but I think they are broken now.

Boat ladders don't work anymore. I just dig up and place ladders or blocks.

I don't think the subforum is very dead. I think the chat thread just got lesser posts now that the texture-pack posts and map posts can have their own threads.
So long as there's people posting, it's still a party in my eyes.
It would be awesome if people started to use Morse code on minecraft servers I just hooked up a lever to a redstone torch and noteblock.
The chat thread isn't extremely active but it has it's posts, I can check it every hour or so and read some stuff.
Maybe someone should start a farm like raptor did a while back :V
