True, Dota has been around for nearly 10 years. LoL for about 2-3 so they got loads of time to "catch up".

Yeah, it's just annoying that on pretty much every AP carry, you NEED Rabaddon's, like how on pretty much every AD carry you NEED IE + PD
I mean, it's nice in that it leaves it to your skillset to make things different, and if you get a new AD carry you pretty much know what to build, but then it sort of filters down that champ to one build with minor variations which makes strategy less reliant on how you build and when which should be a big part of strategy IMO
I'd love more unique items. Not with unique passives, but different items that would fit more specific roles, unlike Bloodthirster, that's an item that can be picked up by literally every AD champion.
Last Whisper and Madred's Bloodrazor, however, can't, because they are used for more specific purposes, I'd like to see some more of that.
Yeah, I want there to be like a few different takes on how you can build
Like, Champion A, standard AD carry
Build 1 lets you have high mobility and single-target damage
Build 2 makes you a little slower but you can spam abilities a bit faster and have some crowd control effects
Build 3 focuses on sustained damage with a hint of survivability
etc. I mean, you CAN do this already, but I raise questions on how viable it is

Blasts the surrounding area for 45/90/135/180/225 (+0.5 AP) Magic damage.
Gains 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 Armor and Magic resistance for every enemy hit for 6 seconds (2/3/4/5/6 per Champions hit),
if casted while Barrier is up it deals double damage and gains twice as much, but cancels Barrier.

Cooldown: 10
Range: 400
(Ultimate) Mighty Armoured Eagle
Makes a call, and after 2 seconds an armoured eagle descends that -- can ride on.
The Eagle has 50/75/100 (+0.35% of Armor + MR) Armor and Magic Resistance and 500/700/1000 health.
During flight -- is untargetable and can fly over terrain for 5/10/15 seconds with 15/25/35% increased Movement Speed.
During flight Reckless Landing can be activated which causes -- to jump off at the target location, causing -- to take
15% of his current HP as damage but deals 150/250/400 Magic damage + 1/2/2.5 times the health lost as bonus damage.
If the Eagle is killed or expired -- will land to the nearest available spot.
Mana: 100/125/150
Cooldown: 120/110/100

I recommend you start with some of the basic-er ones like Wukong and Warwick, since it's much easier to win the lane with them than say, Nidalee or Kennen.
