Just a guess, but Heimerdinger + Zilean?
I think it would be cool if he has an ability you can channel and while channeling you cant move but depending on how long you hold it the range you can throw the bomb increases.

depends, but if I had to answer that I'd say that the best mage is karthus
easy to get kills, easy to farm with, great damage and can be useful even if not doing so great

Caitlyn fell out of favor since her people learned to deal with her laning and her steroid was comparatively a lot weaker than every other range carry. She's still strong but I personally wouldn't pick her except in specific cases.
Ezreal is indeed the strongest pre lvl 4 AD carry. If you can press your advantage in the low levels you could probably farm your way through your meh mid game to become a presence in the late game. But really the amount of effort it takes for him to rival another carry is a lot bigger so often it's better to just go an easier carry to begin with.

Yeah we all laugh at them now, but they used to be fearful champions, capable of doing just about anything.
Heimer used to be one of those champs. He could solo push 1v5 and take a tower. He was fucking awesome.
Then they nerfed him to unplayability, then they "reworked him" and now he's still unplayable.
One day he will be back. Jax came back, and was subsequently reworked.
By the way how is the new jax?

I think the best Mages right now are(in no order): Kennen, Ahri, Xerath, Brand, and Cass. As far as anti mage mages go it's really only Kass and Lebonk, both are really strong though.

as tanky dps I feel like he is to easy to be killed in team fights to effectively deal deal damage. For one-on-one ill wreck but team fights idk. Maybe throwing in a wriggles will help keep me alive in team fights.

Because he isn't the wombo combo mage. He does a lot of damage sure, but it's more sustained. He has no hard CC and he has to aim all his Qs. He does have his ult though, which is really helpful, but I don't really like him that much.

Passive - No mana, but a new "bomb" mechanic. Every ability uses one bomb, and you generate one every few seconds. As you increase in level, you can hold more and more.
Q - Zileans bomb, but with a stun.
W - Trap that deals aoe damage when triggered.
E - A mini gragas ult, an aoe explosion in an area with a small knockback.
R - Cluster bomb. One large explosion, followed by several smaller ones. The more bombs you have from your passive, the more mini explosions it causes.
Just guessing.
