Irelia can "outfarm her way to victory", you mean like, most solo tops can?
Trynda is a different case, he needs lategame because his damage is from melee-auto attacks, any CC shuts him down (sure you can say that any CC shuts down everyone or that he can get cleanse/QSS) but then again ranged AD carries tend to have the safety of range / some CC / some skills that do dmg beside their autos
Nunu has a move speed+attack speed boost for himself and an ally, pretty good for any carry. He has a skill that slows the enemy's move speed+attack speed, pretty good against anyone that relies on damage from auto-attacks

The problem is that he can get to late game way too quickly. He can tower dive easily after 6, and even if you CC him, he can safely travel over 1000 units away with flash + spinning slash.

he's an AD counter, imo that counts as sleeper op because he has all the right tools to shit all over any AD lane
gp: hp shield that regens in 10 secs, on demand % based armor increase
trynd: ground slam.

imho he just takes a huge dump on their faces

malphite just backs off for a bit, suddenly his health shield is back up and his hp regens under it
Nunu is a pretty darn good solo top.
Crazy sustain with Q and harass with E.
Basically last hit 7 enemies then choose if you want free heal or dmg.
The thing people don't realise about trynd is you need to pick someone who can stop him from farming, not someone he can't kill
I always think its kinda funny when there's people that think the laning phase lasts the entire game, well mroes othe jungle farm phase
its like 41 mins in, you're stacking BT or some shit, everyone else is laning or w/e, you go kill wolves and jungler calls you noob for stealing their jungler
the only problem with solo top nunu is that it's hard to farm as him, dumb auto animation and low damage

His AD lvl 1 is 54 which isnt that bad and in my opinion his animations arent that bad either.
It just takes skill to take last hits with champions that arent top priority farmers.
I guess you just would need to play like GP. Harass the shit out of the enemy top solo with E and farm to your best

No he can't, for example graves that has damage from skills can do more damage early to maybe get kills and reach late game faster, trynda can't make you go from 100% to 0 in a dive unless you already fed him.

He was. Besides, M5, the guys that won the KIEV picked a lot of stuff that wasn't "picked often".

probably blind pick only cause it wouldn't be fair if you could be countered easily
