tried convincing my team that thornmail doesn't work against people with 25% Lifesteal and Banshee's Veil
they called me dumb
I said it was a fact
they said "they have cait and xin, THAT is a fact!"

thornmail then negates their lifesteal then, so basically it would counter their 25% lifesteal, which is worth 1125 gold, while 100 armor for 2000 gold is -400 cost efficient without the damage going onto them, so basically you would have an advantage by 725 gold
