a shroud gives you cdr and builds into frozen heart, making it 200x better than the tiny health and useless passive from sunfire

damn nasus is awesome. I got wriggles on him, why is that bad? My build was:
Boots 1 + 3 buns
Philostone
Wriggles
Merc treads
Triforce
Chain mail / Negatron cloak
Warmogs
Atma's
Force of Nature
ridiculously durable and deals nice damage
if only nasus was actually fun to play before 40 minutes into the game

throw your E into a minion wave and last hit the rest. You can use your Q to kill two minions at once if they're low enough. Keep moving around and just keep yourself unpredictable.
Build wise I'm not sure what's better. I've got two builds. First is Boots +3 pots -> CDR Boots -> Morellos -> RoA -> Deathcap (Which makes you do low damage against bruiser heavy teams) or Boots 3 pots -> 2 Dorans -> Deathcap (That's your core, rest is situational)

I take Clarity + Ghost on Lux
come at me. It's worked for me and I never regret it.
Ghost is good because you shouldn't be close to the fight anyway and it's handy if they're coming for you.

I can see that. My reasoning is that if you are good with her, you won't get hit by anything because your positioning and retarded E range. I suppose people that are new to Lux could get boots+3 until they become accustomed to the positioning and harass.
Tear is a waste on her because the Jungler should give you blue; if he doesn't then tear is a viable option but I prefer getting it after deathcap because her spells aren't supposed to be spammable until mid/late game.
Now how will I justify buying gunblade and rageblade on Jax. Back to the meta.

I go 21/0/8 (level 29 atm) when damage Lux, my runes are FUBAR atm because I built my Irelia runes first despite the fact I main Lux; I may take both your opinions into account and experiment with both your builds; I used to Doran's, RoA with Lux and it worked fine but the jungler has to be really good about ganking, holding lanes and sharing blue or else I have no mana and nothing to sustain myself in case shit hits the fan
