One time I was getting blue buff as skarner and my team mid came up and stole it out of nowhere saying "it's my blue buff and you will help me get it every time it comes up I then watched him get ganked and owned in mid and whenever he asked for a gang I just said sorry I'm oom ;)

Another Immoble champ (Cho'gath, Yorick, Skarner) can simply stall out the entire lane. You can get an Executioner's Calling if it really becomes a problem.
