She's not a support, her range is too low to be effective at mid against almost anyone. If anything she should be placed top.

I find her quite the effective support. She can also be the AP Carry if she needs to be.

Karma is not a support
she's an AP carry with high utility
Basically, karma can work in normal games, when you're against bad or decent people if you play her really well, but she is not even near the level of all the other supports, and is definately a horrible mid laner compared to anyone else, high rated, and there's no way for her to go top against a bruiser.
This makes her a low placement on Elementz tier list, which a lot of people determine on which hero they should play, and makes her really unpopular, though she can ofcourse work in normal games, and very well in low level games, she's just horrible to carry solo ranked games with, and is really bad in a 5v5 draft game, since you have so many better options.
A lot of peoples awareness is around Elementz tier list, and i'll give you an example: I used scanner to carry myself up to a very high rating, both because i play him extremely well, and because he is a very strong jungler, and ganker, and the third thing was that people don't see him much, even if at all, so they don't know how he jungles, and they don't know what they should do against him.
I didn't even use the build which the pros use with skarner, i used one which made it less depending on my team, so i could carry the games myself easier.
But the thing i want to point out is, once Elementz updated his tier list, skarner was placed tier 1, and right after that point he's now permbanned or FP in EVERY ranked game, it's a very extreme situtation if he's not banned or first picked.
That was how it was like with Vayne as well, because she really outclasses almost all of the other carries, if they're equal farm.
So overall, she's low on his list, noone finds her attractive, noone sees any good karmas, why bother playing her.

It worked
if you get the one that gives you the movement boost, you can keep up with the enemy.
I prefer to take surge though because the bonus attack speed is boss
dunno what sort of build though.
Hearts to save for vayne, dumbs for huemaster #1.

I would guess AS since his auto-attack works nice and quick.
Wouldn't it make more sense for some AP champs to go AD?
I mean, take swain for example. By the time his cooldowns go off so you can burst someone's balls, you can probably deal more damage from auto attacks (if you build AD). He's got a nice increase to all damage you give out, a slow and root .. Not bad man.
I remember doing this on Rumble too. but of course i dont know anything about metagame and level 2 ganks so IGNORE ME BRO
