op tier: wukong, rumbel, singer, scanner, xerath, urgot, yorick
situational op: taric, sion, wolf, brandt, poppu, trondomere, kaiser, oslaf, trondle, bear
these champs never banned currently, always safe to learn to play a few of them and win every game where your team has atleast 1 decent player besides the 3 scrubadoos.

Yeah, I would think that champs with Disruption (Stun, Snare, Slow) would be some of the best to go AD.

Well, no so much as a rework, just change shit a bit more so she's more like a support than an AP carry, you don't need to completely rework her.

What are the best beginner tips for new players? A friend and i, both 30, are trying to explain the game to 3 of my other friends. Till now they've played 3-4 custom games and have had scores you'd see in a blind pick normal against the custom bots.
Just trying to cover the most ground possible without going overboard and confusing them.

That's not a good idea, the game is balanced around heals being single-target, if you made Q heal by default, you'd have a pretty insane heal when there's 2 teammates and you around.
Not to mention that with some CDR, mantra already comes up fast enough.
Not to mention you're not going to be spamming it so you're going to have 2 mantra stored up and the third one starts generating the moment you use the first one.
What I would do:
Lower damage coeff (maybe)
Lower the AP needed for heal percentage
Make it so Mantra shield's bonus is that the shield does damage when it breaks instead of on cast
Change the passive to something that doesn't require her to take damage.
Maybe the new passive could be something like, having 1 or 2 Mantra charges intensifies the strength of her shield and increases the damage of the Q, meaning you have to either pick to cast shield and then healing, or shielding and hoping you don't need to heal until the next shield.
But considering how long Mantra takes to recharge, I don't know how well that would work out, and it couldn't be a massive bonus to shield strenght/Q damage.

Just take them to a custom game of Twised Treeline. Explain them their champions (have them pick easy understandable ones, like AD carries). After that learn them that last hitting is important. If they do that shit from the start they'll be killin' noobs on the way to level 30. Next, take them to a tower and show them they hurt. Explain the jungle and the reasons one would go there. Next game put yourself in the enemy team and show them that if they attack you under your turret they die. That should cover the basics.

AFAIK you need too much gold compared to other supports to equal them, which isn't viable when you need to get your AD carry fed on gold.
The skillset's fine though, she's fucking amazing.
