Same, my computer can play this, but I much rather buy it for the PS3 so it is easier for my other friends to switch on and off for playing. I'll get it on PC whenever it goes on sale.

My guess is probably utilizing some advanced graphical options like Ambient Occlusion.

Should be alright and don't worry about it, i've asked in the past if i can run games on 8 GB of RAM with a GTX 560 Ti and i got called dumb, my reasons for asking is because i know not of which the power i hold, i came from a computer with an onboard graphics card because i melted my previous graphics cards.
Until this computer i've never owned a powerful computer, the highest graphics card i've had before this beast was an NVidia 8400 GT.

The highest graphics card I had before this one was an x1300 pro
in a desktop. I guess I don't really know how good mine is, considering all the new video cards that are coming out and stuff I don't know if what I have is outdated or not.

Also, steam hides those achievements which are labeled 'secret'. I'd assume those would be secret achievements.

Not always, Portal 2, for example, had major spoilers regarding the storyline as "Open" achievements.
