SR3 got a 88%, pretty good for its first review.
in other news, sr3's gonna be banned in the UAE :v:

Probably because of the satchel charge trailer...
a lot of games are banned in the UAE for stupid ass reasons (modern warfare, dead rising 2, dead island are all banned because they 'promoted violence and gore')

Thats pretty much any game ever then.
Sesame Street must be like fucking call of duty over there.

I call him Richard.
Granted, Dead Rising 2 does encourage you to tape knives to boxing gloves and cut things in half.

I'd like to see what they disliked about it. Gonna have to buy the magazine now, goddamn.

also..new trailer..ehm..?

what the fuck did i just watch
...I have no idea what to say about that trailer.
What i ment was character creation wise when i mentioned about Freedom, just like the original two Saint Rows. Undershirt > Shirt > Jacket for example. Im not entirey used to having already selected top clothing. Say i wanted a vest from the army clothes with a jacket to go over it, or if i wanted the Bandage from the Gun Shot top item with a vest, for examples. You cant seem to do that and im hoping you can in the real game.
It would be nice to also change the tone of your skin to say, a more darkish or lightest grey. One of my main gripes when i was trying to do the zombie face like the mask in SR2 is that the skin was too light and i wanted it darkend a bit.
Thanks Gamespot!
I tried to make Sam Fisher:

They need a bit more variation in the facial hair, maybe a jiggleboned goatee or something so I can make my "The Dude" character not look like shit.

I also find it a bit annoying that even skinny characters have massive upper-torsos/shoulders.

Hey, I'm working on making The Dude as well!

I really need to work on making his face better....
We could probably blame the lack of so and so on console compression. Wasn't that also one of the reasons why two acts of La noire were cut? Such a shame if it were. One of them had Garrus as your partner.
I doubt it has anything to do with consoles.
Then why would they have the torso clothing in sets rather then individual pieces?
[editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
After two games of having it like that you cant just change it.
Because this way they can form more of a style with those tops and make some clothing items that look far better and have more style than anything you could put together with a full system.
If they had it in the first two games then they were perfectly able to apply it to the third game.
It was a choice they made.
people need to stop blaming every lack of something on consoles.
Had a dream that this game came out a week earlier, then spent the following thirty minutes optimistically trying to find out if it actually would.
:(

I wouldn't really say so. Just because it looks better to some people doesn't mean that it is better then having the freedom to wear anything in your closet. I liked Saints Row 2's customization system because you could do anything in it. Having a limited outfit system when it comes to layers is just kind of lazy. They have the resources to use it and it looked fine in SR 1 and 2.

I'm just saying. With the amount of content that's in the game, they had to make choices on what to include and what not to include in order to free up data for other things. Having less models and textures is an easy way to do this without killing the quality of other resources.

Made this.
I hope the game itself will have some facial hair that isn't just sketched right onto the character with a sharpie.
Stubble works but everything else looks terrible beyond relief. The Poirot-mustache, especially, gave me a good laugh followed by a sigh.
I also hope the combover hairstyle from SR2 returns, as I don't think I will be able to reincarnate my SR2 character without it.

You realize that means they're just being sold on there, it's still a steamworks game.

I heard they had to remove the layer system because the amount of work required behind making different layer models for every single piece of clothing would have taken too much time.
Man sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who's actually enjoying the customization.

Ah, I thought that maybe they were going to make it Origin exclusive.
Wait this is steamworks? Thank god, I thought it was GFWL.

I'm findin' it pretty nifto, but I'm not gonna utilise it since I'm just gonna go Male 3/Fursuit when the game hits.
