In case you missed it, I added a text file with tips on how to make SR2 and GotR more stable in the latest v1.9 final named:
"HELP! I'M CRASHING! (tips for a more stable GotR).txt"
If it's random crashes it sounds like the culprit might be a corrupt profile.dat, which is one of the things documented in the file. Anyway, might be worth a read through.
