There is most assuredly free roam in co-op. But regarding the "competitive parts of co-op," I dont know exactly what your referring to but I think it means the diversions that only appear if your in co-op and are doing something specific. Example: if your co-op partner kills you in free roam, then you can start a diversion called cat and mouse where you are in a big powerful vehicle, and your co-op partner is in a tiny weak vehicle and you have to kill him while he has to get away. one sec I'll get a source.

Hey, I've got a bit of a problem - actually, it's a good friend of mine who has it. I showed him SR2, and he decided to get it. He decided to get the non-Steam version, since it's been released in one of these "classic games" series, and thus costed him like... 10$? Anyway, he's got the game, and he installed Powertools, but he has a pretty serious problem - the game crashes after he starts an activity or a mission. Even weirder is the fact that he managed to get past the first two missions (the prison escape and the one where you bust Gat out) just fine. Wat do?

It's designed for the steam version. It says in the FAQ that it won't work with anything else.

Absolutely correct. Only the Steam version is patched to the final v1.2, and Powertools will only work correctly with the encrypted Steam exe. The only thing he can do is use Cheat Engine, which also has the unfortunate side effect of desyncing the cutscene audio.

So I recently just came across an extra key for the game. I already bought my copy on GMG. Not sure what to do with it. Sell on Ebay? Raffle on FP? Give to a friend? What do Facepunch?
