I had faith in int keys until they had that skyrim bullshit, I don't want to have to launch saints row 3 from a separate shortcut every time I want to play

It seems like they still don't know whether it's going to be an international key or not, but if it turns out to be a russian locked one, I'm definitely getting a refund.
that's why i'm waiting till after release to get mine. BF3 pre orders were Russian and after release they got the EU keys

Origin doesn't seem to have problems with russian keys so I just bought a russian one there and it worked just fine. As far as I know, steam has quite a few problems with russian keys being used outside of russia.

The skyrim thing was not their fault.... the Geo-Lock DRM is a new feature that was not advertised. In fact the Geo-Lock steam DRM warranted a steam TOS policy change.
It is Zenimax and steams fault not them. They just buy games in russia for you how do you think key sites work? They also refunded everyone purchase extremely quickly.

it seems to be just for skyrim because as far as I can tell the russian MW3 from int keys is ok to use without a vpn

You mean it'll be possible to just activate them anywhere, without a russian VPN and it'll work like a normal version?

you download it and then activate the russian VPN, when it's done decrypting then it should be ok to play without the VPN (this was the preorder instructions so I guess that you need the VPN to install now)
there is a slight catch though, you have to launch skyrim through its shortcut in the steam folder every time.

that's for skyrim, Int keys support says that it's the only game that needs a vpn so far. But you may want to be prepared just in case saints needs one.
