Pumping out a bunch of shit DLC on the day the game is released is an indication that the content is already finished and could have been added to the base game, rather than released as "extra" content.
Not all DLC is bad, but when a game sells you "extra" content on the day the game comes out, it's because they took that content from the $60 game that you already bought, and decided they'd force you to buy it for an additional fee to get your finished game.
I'm not trashing Saints Row 3, but the DLC setup they have going is utter horse shit.
And like I said, not all DLC is bad, there [b]is[/b] DLC that serves as an actual expansion and additional content for an already complete game, and that content was developed after the game came out, so they weren't just holding it back to charge more. Take the New Vegas DLC for example. They released huge new areas with different stories and quests and items as DLC after the game came out, and I supported them because they were huge expansions to the game, and they were made after release.

You could say that about anything.
In the end, what it comes down to is the fact that they had this content ready to go, and with the click of a button they could have made it so you have that shark attack "DLC" in your game on release, but instead they ripped it out of the game and are selling it separately to make even more money.
It doesn't mean you should boycott the game, I still think Saints Row 3 is worth $60 despite the missing DLC content, it just means you should be aware of what publishers are doing to your games, and if you don't like the way they're messing with your DLC and game content, just don't buy it. There's never any need to harass people for buying bad DLC, just vote with your wallet and show publishers/developers that you aren't going to buy their $5 "WHACKY ZANY ELECTRO-HAT 9000 EXCLUSIVE DLC!!" next time

Although the New Vegas DLC had weapons which were recycled assets from the game/previous DLCs, but they were completely reworked from the ground up. The LAER was originally gonna be in the base game, and the Great Bear and Red Victory grenade launchers were originally gonna shoot robo-scorpions and spider-mines in Old World Blues.

They said they are going to update the PC version with more advanced graphical options and full SLI support. I wonder how long it will take though.
On my midrange system . All settings high 35fps all settings on low 40fps. And people are calling this optimized.
Because it's not like there's an infinite amount of different hardware combinations that could have an effect on it.

So, even though I've done all of the activities through Angel, there's no way for me to progress further on the luchadore stuff without having to do activities for the other gangs?

the only thing irritating me about this game...
1. day one DLC. YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS.
also, the fact that you have to buy invincibility and unlimited clip cheats.
2. lacking checkpoints in missions. im on the one with kinzie and you have the attack copter, and she keeps dying and i have to start back from square one again every time. its irritating me to death.
only two things i have against this game. other than that, it is awesome.

also, how is the screenshot system on the PC?
on the 360, its just a button and you click it and it takes a hudless picture of what is going on and lets you upload it to the saints row site.

I'm waiting for my deliver of SR3, since they shipped it last week or something, and I see this FedEx truck. The truck stops in front of my house and just stays there for a minute, doing nothing. It then starts driving, but stops in front of one of the houses across the street. It then does a U-turn and drives slowly past my house. I keep watching it, hoping I would finally get SR3, and the truck goes around the corner and leaves. Fucking FedEx.
