oh man i really liked fuzz in sr2
Gutted that Fuzz isnt coming back in Saints Row 3. But Professor Genki’s Super Ethical Reality Climax is pretty much Fight Club by the sounds of it. Pretty much, a crazy Battle Royale. Now, Would it be a wise idea to do Guardian Angel with the Eye of the Tiger playing in the background? (Also, Scottish Voice DO want)
I think this should finally make everybody happy when it's released in the next beta. [img_thumb]http://finalack.com/Idol/album/main.php?cmd=imageorig&var1=SR2_pics_misc%2Fmod_v1.9%2Foptional_installer.jpg[/img_thumb]
So, we can combine more than one addon, right?
Instead of Max Payne slo-mo there should be shootdoging.
It should be slow-mo shootdodging. Yeah, Sean Connery voice ftw!
So, we can combine more than one addon, right?
Sure. There are a couple of things that are mutually exclusive though, like the super fat and super skinny slider mods. Those use the same setting in the same file, so you can only have one or the other. Same deal with skateboarding animations and rollerblading ones. You'll have to choose between those. You should be able to use any of the rest of the stuff together though. The batch file is currently keeping track of everything you select by adding an I in front of the menu choice (for Installed,) and once you have everything you want, you press P to build your patch, and voila! It's so easy even a monkey could use it.

I think i just found a bug on the ambulance diversion, trains on cars crash bugging everywhere wtf? On a side note, where i can find the peewee bike now?
That ambulance bug is nuts. I never do the ambulance diversion, so I have no idea if anything with the mod did anything weird. Does it happen consistently, or was it just that one time? Peewee should be on sale at Cycles. You also unlock them as usable gang vehicles at level 3 (65% of hoods owned) along with a bunch of other new gang vehicle types like monster trucks, atvs, motorcycles, etc.
The Melbourne has become my favorite motorcycle.
I really hope we get some gameplay footage.
I remember how SR3 is going to start(airlifting a bank vault, only the Saints try that, regulars steal from a vault, Saints try to airlift it). FUZZ should return, or have a badass activity based on FUZZ. I want to airstrike those animal humans.
I hope SR3 gets a livestream by the developers 1 week before release like SR2 did, I loved that shit. I can sum it up in three words: naked fight club.
Here's some better quality scans. I want good Character Customization, i want it be easier for me to make a good looking female character. And no gansta talking shit either.
I just want to be able to run it :smith:
I want to be able to create Charlie Sheen.
I've been working my ass off on the optional mod installer and it's almost ready to go. Here's a scared huge muscled 3ft tall test dwarf... just because:
There is one mod that would be really useful to have: A mod which would tell the players what the fuck to do in co-op on the saving Gat at the hospital mission. It took a hell of a long time to get that the second player was supposed to go fetch chopper from the roof. [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] For my next play-trough of SR2 with my friend were gonna use GotR. But I can't make up my mind on what kind of a character I want to make. - A skinny white kid ganster from the suburbs - A really stereotypical Mexican guy - Myself - Charlie Manson - Charlie Sheen You pick one for me.
Charlie Sheen Do It
Alright. I'll start doing it tomorrow since my school ends 17:30 today and it takes about an hour to get home.
Here's some better quality scans.
We're going to have to complete quick time events to kill brute enemies :smith:
awesome
Here's a test build of the new optional mod installer for GotR, if anyone wants to play around with it. http://finalack.com/Idol/sr2/test/test_optional_mod_installer_v1.9_beta11_wip.rar The batch file will basically build you a custom patch.vpp_pc for gotr with whatever optional mods you choose; villain homies, skateboarding, rollerblading, huge muscles, extra gang customization types like ronin, samedi, elderly, different heights for your character ranging from 3ft tall to 8ft, super fat or super skinny, sticky cam, and also optional 360 or PS3 prompts and OPEN files. Oh, and I spoke with the creator of the handling mod, Ink0gnito, who gave his blessing to integrate it as an optional mod as well so you can put that in too if you want. A couple words of warning: * DO NOT SAVE with your custom patch you build! Seriously. Consider this an early alpha. I have no idea yet what kind of weird shit might happen since none of this has been tested, other than by me that it works. (Well, you probably can save, just be very certain it's a new save and be prepared to have to delete it in case it gets fluxored up.) * Villain homies all use ak47s, drive weird cars, and have the wrong picture on the cell phone. This will be fixed before release. * Nobody is credited yet for these mods in the archive (including me.) There will be a separate readme in the official beta release with credit where it is due.
finally learned how to streak/ flash. Epic.

Well, I haven't been playing for that long but that crap got old fast.
:smith:

awesome
Well that settles it then. Idolninja, if we create a tall guy he'll move slowly and if we create a dwarf he'll move faster, right? Or are the running/walking animations' speed fixed for both cases (not possible, right?)?

[release]In just a few short years, the 3rd Street Saints have grown from a small group of thugs to a major commercial force, with endorsement deals and piles of cash large enough to make Scrooge McDuck envious. That’s great news for the gang, but it’s a tricky setup for Saints Row: The Third. What do you do when you’re at the top of your game? The guys at Volition found the solution: get tossed out of a plane. Once you land in Steelport, it’s up to you to take over the all-new city from scratch. “When you first get to Steelport, you immediately realize that the Syndicate has locked out all of your cash and that the Saints aren’t around you,” says the game’s lead designer, Scott Phillips. “It’s just you and Shaundi, essentially stuck on your own.” Backup is only a phone call away, though. The player calls home and gets in touch with Saints lieutenant Pierce, who says he’ll mobilize as many Saints as he can and head to Steelport. Around the same time, Shaundi has a great idea on where the Saints can score some weapons—the National Guard armory. After that mission, Pierce, Shaundi, and the player put their heads together and strategize. Pierce and Shaundi have a little background on the Syndicate, and it becomes clear that the criminal collective will have to be eliminated if the Saints have any hopes of gaining traction in town. First, however, the Steelport Saints are going to have to upgrade their living situation. “Eventually you decide that you need a better base than just some s----- apartment, so you go and attack a Syndicate penthouse, where they’re having a huge party,” says Phillips. That raid provides more than a posh place to crash. Since they were taken by surprise, the Syndicate has left behind documents and other information that provides valuable intel on the group’s inner workings. Now that they have a deeper insight into how they tick, the Saints are better equipped to take them out. That is, they will be once they’re fully resupplied. Saints Row: The Third continues the series’ basic structure, where players slowly take over a city through various activities, like insurance fraud and tank mayhem. Complete these activities, and you kick gangs out of specific areas. You also earn money, which can be used to purchase business and strongholds. To fully move a gang out of an area, you’ll have to take out their flashpoint zones. “These are areas that the Syndicate will defend with their troops, because they’re key transfer points for their drugs or anything that earns them money; the guns the drugs, the steroids, the parties,” says Phillips. “The Saints come in and kick them out of it, the Saints roll in, and from then on the Saints will show up in that location.” Those AI accomplices are key parts of the city. Players can recruit them off the street to accompany them during missions and other activities. As the Saints gain more of a foothold in Steelport, they become better equipped to deal with resistance, as well. The most visible way players can make their mark on the city is through the strongholds system. Don’t think that the penthouse is the only place you’ll be able to call home. There are also skyscrapers and casinos up for grabs, as well as Phillips’ favorite in-game place. “[It’s] kind of a BDSM Playboy Mansion kind of place. If you also think of the movie Taken with Liam Neeson, it’s kind of like that. It’s a little dirty, a little disturbing, but it’s also nice, and there are people hanging out in the grotto.” Strongholds can be upgraded, and those upgrades directly affect your gang. Phillips says the mansion can be upgraded several times, until it’s basically the biggest building in Steelport. “By upgrading that, your gang will get stronger and the people who spawn out in the street will go from pistols to SMGs to rifles. It’s a modifier for that territory, for the cash that you earn, for the respect that you earn in that area. It’s kind of like creating a ring of power; it just makes everything in that area better and better and better.” Taking over a city is fun, but it’s also tough to balance. Once you start gaining momentum, games that feature similar mechanics tend to have economies that break down. Phillips says that the team has been keenly aware of that problem, and that they’ve taken steps to make sure things stay interesting. “Even if you do own large parts of the city, we have enough ways for you to spend that cash, so it’s not going to be like Saints Row 2, where cash and respect very quickly lose their usefulness,” he says. Following a character’s rise to power is a proven storytelling technique, and it’s one that’s served Saints Row well in the past. It’s good to have a change of venue with the third game, and it’s nice to not have to start completely over from scratch. Sure, driving people around might make sense when you’re first starting out, but it doesn’t really work when you’re already running another town. One thing’s for certain: Steelport’s map is going to be saturated in purple before it’s over.[/release] [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] Pierce fuck yes

You guys figure this time around the PC version will release the same time as the console versions? I don't want to buy this for my consoles this time around.
