Oh god, it's starting to look like THQ and Volition are slowly turning into Activision and Infinity Ward. Seriously, day 1 DLC that adds CHEATS?? and a shitload more DLC planned? Come on...
For example in GTA:San Andreas, you got so much stuff for just the price of the game. Today, games are completely watered down on release, forcing you to buy their shitty DLC if you want to actually enjoy the game...

It doesn't add cheats, it just unlocks them for you instantly. It's only a quick access kind of thing.
And oh my god they're planning to add more content to the game those assholes!
I don't mind regular DLC but Day One DLC is a dick move.

Ripping out content already in the game and then selling them for even more dosh isn't wrong at all.
How about no.

But they're not doing that.
Where do the muscle cars spawn? I'd assume more spawn on Luchador turf than in the middle of Loren Square

Because cheat codes require SO MUCH EFFORT to program
Did anyone find any hidden islands or areas like there was in SR2?

Did you even read my post? The cheat DLC isn't a "pay money to get cheats", it's only a quick access thing, the cheats are already unlockable in-game.
Is it just me or does the game feel a bit... empty compared to SR2? Weren't there way more stores and activities? Like the Fight Clubs and the one where you protect celebrities. Also, it is kinda sad that many of the missions are just activities, pisses me off.

No.
I agree.
I miss Fight Clubs and other activities that were in SR2 but not in SR3.
They also removed the ability to pick up stuff and use them as a weapon.
No.
Oh I see that's a very good argument I guess that proves me wrong thank you for that post

I was sad when I couldn't throw random objects at people.
It was like dead rising.
They did seem to dumb some things down, but I guess that just gave them more time to focus on the most important stuff and so that way they made everything else so awesome and so much better than it was in SR2.

AFAIK, that's incorrect. Not that I care that much though, sure day one DLC is gay, but we are talking about what, two euros here? I'll probably buy it after I finish the story missions.
Anyway, anyone know if there's a fairly easily accessible helicopter somewhere on the map? Would need one to get all the collectibles.

There are loads of choppers in the armybase.
Runs bad on my 5770.
Was going to upgrade at some point, might as well do it for this.

I'm a little confused... why would they have all those options to customize the vehicle yet lock it from the player?
From what I've seen there are different types of military vehicles around, like the normal cop car and the solid black one.
You can customize the cop car but not the tanks and such, Its pretty much uncustomizeables with different decals every now and again.
I tried the game and something I really wish they kept was the clothing wearing options.
Getting to choose whether to wear a shirt buttoned or unbuttoned. Wearing jeans high or low. Or wearing just the left or right glove.
I also remember the upper body in SR2 had multiple layers for clothing. Like you could get an undershirt and over that put on an unbuttoned overshirt.
But they're not doing that.
Genki, shark attack.
Totally not doing that at all.
I still haven't decided if I should buy it! Are there any vouchers on greenmangaming for saints row the third?

No questions asked, by the looks of it you should buy the game.

It's an ATI problem, apparently they're working on a fix?
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
It runs bad on my 5970, so I don't think it's a case of needing to update.
It's not an exclusive ATI problem but apparently mainly occurs on those, I assume it's some prolem with having it ported from closed-hardware systems (Yes it is a port of sorts, just a pretty good one).
I'm having extreme fps problems with my HD 5970, is that what you guys are talking about?
Aww no more than two player multiplayer :frown:
I'm having extreme fps problems with my HD 5970, is that what you guys are talking about?
hey me too same card and all
So I hear much of the DLC you can buy just unlocks something in game faster.
Is it true you get the Shark Gun by completing in game diversions?
What about other DLC, I only ask because as a poor rich Englishman i cannot buy any DLC at all.
Ordered off amazon, didn't arrive yesterday nor did it arrive today. Dad finds out the delivery address was his work, and he isn't going to be there until next week.
Fucking hell.
Anyone else hate Shaundi's new design?
I wouldn't have minded it so much if Eliza Dushku voiced her again.
She feels like an entirely different character.
