Mine taunts me by nearly landing and then it shoots straight up by hovering over the earth.
I remember when I once called a homie for a helicopter, he flew to me, landed, then instantly took off again, went up like 20 meters, then landed again, went up again and so on and so on. I ended up just shooting him down with a rocket launcher.

Also is there a taxi service in this? SR2 had TNA taxis that you could call, but there's no way to dial numbers in this.
Guys, I'm confused how much DLC there is? I thought there was just 3 but I decided to copy my SR3 Steam folder to my other drive and use a crack off some torrent. It gave me like SEVEN different DLC's such as the blayde pack, the Z costume, some army one, etc. I could have sworn there was just 3 on the store before it got removed on the UK one?
I'd post you guys the link to the crack, ONLY if you own the game. Just to see the new DLC that isn't on the store.
I'm not sure of the Zimos suit or the army one. Isn't the army suit available in game at Let's Pretend?
The Nyte Blade Pack is a bonus to pre-ordering the 3 upcoming mission pack DLC (Season Pass).
One thing that I wish that came back is clothes customization, like, it was so indepth in Saints Row 2. You could even choose what hand to wear a glove in and shit.

Also, uh, my vehicle delivery guy, just up and never appeared again. Why?
does anyone else's cpu get really hot after playing this? before playing everything hovers around 45-60c but after playing saints row 3 the temps sky-rocket. no other game affects the temps so drastically.

it makes the game unplayable too. it usually runs around 30-45fps but after a few mintues it drops down to 13-22fps.
i play around medium/high. no post processing, motion blur, or msaa
My Phenom II x4 945, even after hours of playing, never gets above 50 degrees C.
Something is very wrong there.
Not like Mercenaries had any unique content tho.
Also, whenever I play SR3 I wish I had my JC2 grapple and chute.
The Mercenaries content could just be untold amounts of explosives.
I revisited the last mission for the alternate ending, and now my statue is destroyed, anyway to fix it back to normal.
has idolninja said anything about modding this game at all?
Runs bad on my 5770.
Was going to upgrade at some point, might as well do it for this.
I run it with a 5770 on 2x AA, 2xAF, and medium settings otherwise. Maybe it's another piece of your hardware giving SR3 a problem?

Mine runs at 2xaa 16xaf, high textures and lighting, shadows on medium (looks the same really), ambient occlusion and post process low, reflections high. runs smooth and looks great!
Don't really want that depth of field..
They stripped so much away from what was Saints Row. Why did they remove car dealerships, most of the activities from SR2, consumable items like food and liquor, and 80% of the stores? These are just off the top of my head since I haven't played SR2 in so long. I'm sure there's tons more stuff they removed. After I completed the game and got a full picture of it, the whole game just feels empty. Don't get me wrong, it was a fun ride and had some great laughs with the dialogue, but seriously, why strip so much away?

I think they just wanted to more focus on making the core gameplay and the most important parts of the game actually really good, since those things weren't all that great in SR2. And it succeeded, even with less stuff in it and less activities, SR3 is still a million times more fun than SR2 ever was.

He had already made a super slider for the Initiation Station, as well as a nudity pixel remover (?) and I hope we get a GOTR for SR3.

[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
Welp, I can't stand not being able to play Saints Row 3 just because I have to visit family.
Going to see if I can get the game to run on my Mom's iMac. Wish me luck gentlemen.
wait
food and drugs in sr2
so thats what those things where
I never used them, i'd just hide behind a building for a minute to let my health regenerate

make him climb a mountain
Call me crazy but SRTT is my personal Game Of The Year. Sure I played Skyrim, Portal 2, (both of which are a pretty close 2nd) and most of the other contenders but none of them match the incredible amount of fun I got out of this game. Especially in co-op. It took me a solid 20 hours to get through the main story in co-op counting a bit of getting sidetracked with activities and such. It might be missing a few things I would have liked in the game but stuff like that never bothered me much when it comes to my opinion on how much I like a game. Also I never thought I'd end up saying this about this game but I actually got pretty into the storyline, however over-the-top it is.
Maybe it's a little early to say this since I only beat it yesterday but I'm pretty sure it's one of my new all-time favorites too.
[sp]Also the part during the end credits when What I Got starts playing and everyone is singing along, not just the your voice and Pierce from the one mission, is one of my favorite musical game moments ever.[/sp]
make him climb a mountain
there are no proper mountians in sr3. will a small hill do?
also ill make him look like a lawyer because hes in my favourite tv-show

I've never used any of the food items in SR2, nor did I use any of the alcohol or drugs. Your health regenerated quickly anyway, and it wasn't like hiding for a few seconds was a challenge. Nobody that I know ever used the consumable items in SR1 or 2. I guess Volition realized this and just cut it out.
Car dealerships? Well, its cool and all but stealing shit and claiming it as mine fits more to the whole criminal atmosphere of the game. What criminal goes out and buys cars when he can simply just take one and keep it? :v:
And they do the activity removal from every game. They always remove whatever seems to be the least popular and experiment with new activities. The only ones they've kept throughout all 3 titles was Mayhem, Insurance Fraud and Snatch.

He and alot of people in the "Gentlemen of steelport" group on steam are currently trying to mod the game while they play through the game, they've already managed to unlock non-released DLC vehicles and outfits (They won't release those though since they want to support the devs) and stuff, I think Idol is currently trying to make every vehicle in the game customizable (without that "glitch" that was posted earlier)
[sp] The gangstas in space mission had me smiling all the way through.
The other ending was more epic though, I wish it was still there after you blew it up. Like how kenzie says you could build a new one if you get the blueprints. [/sp]
On November 2, 2011, THQ CEO Brian Farrell announced that Saints Row: The Third is already the most pre-ordered title in series history.

During an interview with X-Play, THQ executive VP Danny Bilson revealed that Volition is already working on Saints Row 4. "Like any game, if you have a great creative core to it you just keep exploiting that core," he told G4. "For instance," he went on, "I know what Saints Row 4 is about and it is wilder than this one. It's a good example of how you take what you have and you ask, 'what could happen in the next?" added Bilson, without giving up any actual details.
How can they fucking top this? Make it wilder? [sp]Saints Row in the jungle?[/sp]
saints row in steelport & stillwater.
now that'd be tight.
or maybe some huge town not related to those 2

Go out into the street. only fucking place they will land it seems.
Also somebody asked where you got the Deckers headphones and an answer were never actually given.
Well I found out. Go to a clothing store called "Nobody Understands Me" (or something along those lines)

I have AA and SBAO off, but everything else maxed with my 5750 while getting anywhere from 25-40 fps. Large margin, but all are certainly playable.
If you guys are having trouble disable those two first.
Anyways, anyone notice the car sounds constantly repeat?
