Are you retarded?
are you?
the weapons sucked ass and so did having to walk around your crib to do stuff
Funny, I was able to jump it with the V2 tank you get on the aircraft carrier.
Unless you were stupid enough to choose satchel charges over a fucking tank and hoverbike.
I was stupid then.
I chose the hover bike and satchels, mostly because I remember how much fun it was terrorizing people in SR2 with a satchel charge to the face.
Are you retarded?
He's right, the clothing system in SR2 was amazing, but all the clothing was so poorly modeled and textured that making any outfit that looked even remotely good was almost impossible. Not to mention that most of the clothes were a bunch of duplicates of almost the same thing and half of them were just some baggy gangsta crap that just looked horrible.

I picked this. The tank was already powerful enough, i had 3 of them, and i wanted to stick people with satchels. And the best bike in the whole fucking game.

err whoops, fixed it
Well, after playing the game, here's a list of stuff I like/dislike.
Stuff I like:
+ Great performance.
+ Feels really polished.
+ Activities are easier than before
+ Upgradable weapons.
+ Respect-as-levels is a good idea.
+ Barely any bugs.
Stuff I don't like:
- Barely any melee weapons compared to SR2.
- Less activities.
- Less customization.
- Less vehicles.
- Money used to buy perks is not smart, they should've just given like 1 perk point per each level.
- Weird AI behavior sometimes.
All in all, Saints Row: The Third is definitely better than Saints Row 2. Even if it took them to remove some stuff from the game to polish the main stuff.
Couldn't you also "get" the stag armor by downloading a community character that has it on, then saving it as an outfit? Of course you might have to upload your character first if you want to keep him.
The reason there's less in SR3 than in SR2, at least, according to the people that work at Volition and also post on SA, is that SR3 had more development time set for making the new city and making improvements to the engine. Because, unlike SR2, they couldn't reuse most of their assets from SR1.
The reason that some cutscenes seem a bit disjointed is because THQ set most of their cutscene animators on another project. Saints Row 4: The Saints Go Forth will probably be like SR2 was to SR1.

Yeah. I lost it and laughed out loud when my british guy replied "You're shitting me!" or some sort to Kia's words about hoverbike. Doesn't happen often.

Now I'm all hyped for SR4

There are some great melee weapons in this game, the deckers sword, the deckers power sword something, chainsaw, dildobat (who doesn't want that?) baseball bat that can be upgraded with bent spikes.
Where do I get Decker weapons?
Okay what the hell, first I played trough the whole game, got to 90% completion without encountering Genki once and then suddenly I get 2 Genki encounters within one minute.
Where do I get Decker weapons?
TBH I'm not sure on the deckers sword, I just found it in my crib weapon cache (I've finished the main story so that may be why)

Apoco-fists are awesome.
Where do I get Decker weapons?
They're unlocked after deckers.die, you get the Cyber Buster for free, but you gotta buy the Deckers Cyber SMG and the Nocturne anime sword.
Use the Gibbed VPP Unpacker to unpack the misc_tables.vpp file, and the Professor Genki spawn rates for all of the different area's in in the spawn_info_categories.xtbl file. After that repack the VPP and put it back in its location.
I would like to know how IdolNinja packs his files so that entire cache files don't have to be overwritten, but he doesn't accept friend requests and I'd rather not be blocked from any future help.
I tried repacking it and it just spits out a file bigger than the original. What options did you use for the repacker?

I got the SMG but no sword anywhere.
I don't know about this game...
it seems like they rushed the story, and the [sp]ending where you save shaundi[/sp] is pretty stupid. I was expecting a bigger boss fight or something.
Also the story was much, much shorter than in SR2. I beat SR3 in a couple of days, I've had SR2 for over a month and still haven't beaten it. Also, the lack of activities was also disappointing.
But, all in all, it was a very fun playthrough.
Try a few of the missions in the Deckers's area.
I got the SMG but no sword anywhere.
You buy the sword in the Gun store. It's around 35,000
So... Those of you that have beaten the game, odds of a Saints Row 4?
[sp]I say quite improbable. If there is one it'd probably revolve around a new set of characters. To be honest, while SR3 was fun and well executed, it really killed the series for me. Gat's death was done in a horrible manner (Let's kill the most popular character of the series! Better yet, let's do it anticlimactically offscreen!) and any tie to the first game died with him, Shaundi went from enthusiastic dread-locked stoner to media whore, and it felt like there was much less to do in general. Not to mention the exclusion of any real rewards for doing the activities or distractions. Or a pimp cane shotgun. Where the fuck is my pimp cane shotgun.[/sp]
[sp] While I agree that Gat's death was badly executed, Shaundi felt fine to me and the lack of activities and such doesn't mean we can't follow the same set of characters. Besides the new characters introduced were pretty well done so we could still follow them.[/sp]
Also they already announced saint's row 4 right? I really hope they don't release it next year, two years minimum is fine. I don't want this to become one of those yearly release games.
Am I the only one who feels like there are more activities to do in SR3? You could consider the SaintsBook stuff as activities (replacing the physical Hitman and Chopshop markers).
While there are less instances, there seems to be more actual activities.
Considering buying this, looks great
Should I buying this
After playing through the game as male 1, and watching somebody play through the game with the female voice, I feel like you were supposed to be a guy because of most of the dialogue.
But, that's just my opinion.
The ending when you saved Shaundi was perfect.
