Anyone else find the [sp]Saving Shaundi[/sp] ending more satisfying than the [sp]Eliminate Kill Bane[/sp] ending?
Anyone else find the [sp]Saving Shaundi[/sp] ending more satisfying than the [sp]Eliminate Kill Bane[/sp] ending?
I wasn't a fan of the mission after the [sp]saving shaundi[/sp] ending, the mission after [sp]eliminate kill bane[/sp] was much more fun. But on its own, I agree with you
Where is this leaked list?
Its the same list that was referenced a lot before the game was released, when everyone was still freaking out about the Co-Op DLC and Cheats DLC:
Co-Op Pack
Sometimes all it takes is a friend at your back to help you through the toughest situations. With the Co-Op Pack you can do just that. Play entirely through Saints Row: The Third with your co-op partner and together help the Saints climb once more to the top.
Bloodsucker Pack
Keep the cash flowin' with the Bloodsucker Pack. You'll earn respect and get cash bonuses but it doesn't stop there! You also get payments, money drop, and the ability to regain health through your human shields with The Dracula skill.
Explosive Combat Pack
Throw on your combat gear and add a weapon to your arsenal with the Explosive Combat Pack. The M2 Grenade Launcher sends a plethora of mass explosions right at your enemy, and the Future Soldier Outfit is perfect for any battle.
[NOT SURE]
Go super ballistic with the FunTime! Pack which gives you a new weapon, vehicle, and outfit. Terrorize your enemies by sucking them up and shooting them out with the Genki Man-A-Pult! Pull the trigger on the Mollusk Launcher and unleash the power of an exploding, mind-controlling octopus! And make sure you put on your FunTime! Outfit, because who doesn't want to look like Professor Genki!
Invincible Pack
More cheats than you'll know what to do with. Never worry about dying or running out of ammo! Experience the thrill of Zero Gravity and unlock the Get Down Cheat that makes you ultra limber. Super Saints gives you better guns and better health while Ultimate Clip ensures that you're always ready to fire. Get Infinite Mass for your vehicle plus Super Explosions and you'll be ready for anything!
[NOT SURE]
The ultimate collection of goods for Nyte Blayde fans! Look just like a Nyte Blayde star with exact replicas of the Altar Boy and Bloody Cannoness Outfits. Experience the excitement of Nyte Blayde's adventures as you get behind the wheel of the Nyte Blayde Mobile vehicle. The top off your full Nyte Blayde experience by zipping around town on the Bloody Cannoness Bike!
Shark Attack Pack
Add to your wardrobe and weapon cache with the Shark Attack Pack. The Shark-O-Matic shoots out a steady stream of slimy fish guts, attracting whatever may lurk under the streets of Steelport. And if that isn't enough, the Shark Bite Hat allows you to experience the feeling of being caught in the jaws of a great white.
Special Ops Vehicle Pack
A collection of fully equipped military vehicles for your garage. The Saints VTOL features jet and hover modes making airborne attacks easy and stylish. The Saints Tank and Saints MRAP are the ultimate in armored warfare, showing your opponents the Saints aren't to be messed with.
Steelport Gangs Pack
Get some new gangwear for your wardrobe with six new outfits. Disguise yourself as a Morningstar Solider or blend in with the Luchador Specialist crowd. You can even try out the Decker cyberpunk style and get in touch with your inner techno-goth!
Unlockable Pack
The Unlockable Pack gives access to all unlockable items, upgrades and bonuses that weren’t chosen during normal gameplay. Now you can have it all!
Warrior Pack
The Warrior Pack adds four combat-ready outfits to your wardrobe. Antiques never go out of style with the Knight of Steelport Armor, or go for something a little more revealing with the Warrior Princess outfit. Bring out your inner samurai with the Kabuki Warrior Outfit or choose the Intergalactic Warrior Outfit for an out of this world look.
Z Style Pack
Live the high life of Zimos himself by adding a weapon to your arsenal and an outfit to your wardrobe with the Z Style Pack. You won't go unnoticed in the bold and pimpalicious outfit good enough to be called The "Z". Arm yourself with the super flashy Bling Shotgun and your bullets won't be the only thing that makes an impact.
The "Bloodsucker Pack", and some other small ones, are already usable by people who cracked the game, as seen in Youtube videos. The "Unlockable Pack" is the one where you can get Apoca-Fists if you didn't choose them, etc.
Its just annoying to those of us who bought the game. I'm only fine with all this thanks to TF2 items getting me this stuff.
edit: The Explosive Pack was also being used in a Youtube video I saw.
Anyone else find the [sp]Saving Shaundi[/sp] ending more satisfying than the [sp]Eliminate Kill Bane[/sp] ending?
The ending was more satisfying and all but they basically just went back to the whole media empire thing they were at the beginning.

I think that turned out to be a console-only thing, so that when you trade the game to someone else, they would need to get the online pass in order to play co-op. A way to combat used game sales hurting profits. I don't know how it was implemented since I'm on PC though.
What the hell? I clicked campaign, new game, and now it's been stuck on the loading screen for a good 15 minutes.

Oh well, I can play it when I get home on Saturday.
How's the character customization in this game? Is it really big?

You can download the Initiation Demo from steam and find out yourself.
Yes, it's pretty big.

Oh sweet. I was talking to my friend about this, and she really likes the character customization stuff, and so do I, so I mentioned this to her and if she decides to get it, then we might play together.
Really random, but I'd love to see a Spike and Barley Play of this game.
I hope they add in more cheats. SR3 is lacking a lot of the fun cheats that were in the previous games.

The first post on the previous page (edit: the page before that) quotes a few of my and a friend's monstrosities.

This is my current character, and yeah that's underwear.

and why do I have to buy the saint stores anyway

Help your friends when they are having trouble with a mission.
Or when one of your friends just starts the game.

Here's something interesting.
The Strategy Guide for SRTT has a list of the story changes that went on during development. Spoilers, so read at your own risk.
There are some spoilers, but not much really.
[sp]The story went through many drastic changes over different drafts and scope reduction. Here are some of the biggest changes:
- The Syndicate used to be made up of five actors.
- Oleg wasn't cloned, he was a leg breaker for the Syndicate, who joined the Saints to be with his role model: Josh Birk.
- Gat didn't die, he was captured and you saved him.
- Shaundi had a subplot that explored survivor's guilt and depression.
- Shaundi never appeared in the game at all, instead she was off filming her reality show in Mexico. At the end of the game you wer to see her unwittingly on a date with Killbane without his mask on.
- Viola and Kiki both join the Saints.
- The calamity that caused STAG to roll into town changed multiple times. Originally Killbane set off a dirty bomb that totally cratered Stilwater. - Then it was changed to the Syndicate destroyed Stilwater in the middle of a convention called Saints Con, killing thousands of innocent people as well as Tobias and Laura from Saints Row and Saints Row 2. Next, it was changed to blowing up of the Saints church during Gat's funeral. Finally it ended up as the destruction of the bridge.
- There was a bonus cutscene planned, after the bridge is destroyed, where the Saints are singing a "We Are The Wrold" type song to raise money for Stilwater.
- In one story draft, if you chose to save Shaundi and Viola at the end of the game there was a coda after the closing credits where Shaundi is at Gat's grave. She is upset that the Saints let Killbane get away and have gone back to being celebrities again. She is then recruited by Cyrus and joins STAG.
- Likewise, if you chose the other optoin to kill Killbane, there was a coda after the closing credits where an enigmatic figure was flying into Steelport on a Syndicate jet and the person accompanying him was Johnny Gat.[/sp]
wow a lot of that stuff would have been so awesome
Just tried out the demo for it, and there were two things that bothered me.
One, you can't add decals to clothes, but they do have a large selection of them to choose from.
And two, when choosing what you want to wear for the feet, there isn't just a "socks" option.
Other than that, I really like it.
