So did the update help anything? Mostly for us AMD users.
I didn't notice any increased performance personally.
Huh. Never really noticed that til now. Also, I never really understood the appeal for AO. It sorta adds a weird shadow around the character that shouldn't be there. At least my card renders it like that (GTX 260), but then again my card is obsolete so it may be different on others.
It's not plain AO, it's SSAO (I believe). The appeal in it is supposed to be that it's supposed to add dynamic AO that changes based on the scene itself, and aren't just a static AO on the diffuse map textures. The problem is is that to get true SSAO, you need to sample each pixel, which isn't currently possible within a game engine, so you get a larger sample spaces much faster, which lowers the quality. And tends to lead to essentially what look like drop shadows on walls and whatnot.
Ok, what the hell is wrong with my game? I just installed it but it lags like hell. My rig is well over the recommended requirements, I have an i7 2600K, a GTX 570 and 8 gigs of ram, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've tried running it on DX9 with all setting on lowest, and it still doesn't run smoothly. The only thing that's shit on my PC is the horrible internet, but how could that even cause problems?
I was driving down to my parents house for Thanksgiving and on my drive down I found a station on the radio that's similar to The Mix. The last 2 songs I heard before I lost reception were "Don't You (Forget About Me)" and "Down Under." Really put me in the mood to play SR2 again, holy shit.
I never really cared much for the challenges when i was playing but not that i have finished the game i noticed im pretty much screwed with at least 1 challenge D: The Enemy Gang member taunt is pretty much undoable now since they dissapeared, i sometimes get calls where i get to kill some but taunting them does nothing since they need to be in "peace mode". The other Challenge is the Kill Elite Deckers, im missing 10. This might be doable if i go to the Deckers zone and wait for a call, i haven't tried that yet though. Is there a way to bring back the other gangs after finishing the game ?
ill never hear "Don't You (Forget About Me)" in saints row 3 and that makes me very depressed. no, really. the music in sr3 is mainly garbage. ive got maybe 3-4 songs on my mixtape

Taunt them, run into the safehouse/rim jobs to lower the heat, then just keep doing it. It takes a while, but it works.
the entirity of The Mix (with a few exceptions) is cool

God damn this is such a catchy song.
HALP! [editline]23rd November 2011[/editline] Also, if anyone wants to play some co-op just send me a friend invite on steam.

Going to try that now for the taunt.
some guy on the saintsrow site apparently got inside [sp]Burt Reynolds[/sp] office by accidentally crashing into the building.
Doesn't seem to work for me. I'll just wait and hope the DLCs will bring them back.

But the music they used for certain cutscenes and missions were well used. I got about 8-12 songs on my mixtape, and half of them are classical songs.
william tell overture fits fucking everything
some guy on the saintsrow site apparently got inside [sp]Burt Reynolds[/sp] office by accidentally crashing into the building.
[sp]Burt FUCKING Reynolds[/sp] * Yesterday I finished all the Professor Genki S.E.R.C activities :D It unlocks mascot costumes for your gang (including a Genki suit) Only problem is that they are in the Saints colours and it made some of the costumes look weird, anyway to change the colours of gang members clothes?

I have say that the Trail Blazing in Luchadores territory is much, much more fun than in Deckers territory.
I fucking love Trail Blazing. It's so much better this time around, and I liked it in SR2. Same with Heli Assault, bar the liking it in SR2 part.

Just completed the game. The end seemed very sudden :v:
[sp] Wow, the ending where you let killbane live fucking sucks compared to the amazingness on the ending where you DO kill him [/sp]
I killed Genki. Almost didn't grab his cash
I made my character on the initiation station for Steam, and apparently you can't download it to Xbox. Nice.
I made my character on the initiation station for Steam, and apparently you can't download it to Xbox. Nice.
Well duh.
Well duh.
dude it's a set of slider values, don't act as if it's somehow magically untranslatable to a different platform
dude it's a set of slider values, don't act as if it's somehow magically untranslatable to a different platform
SLIDERS SO HI-TEC~~~~
dude it's a set of slider values, don't act as if it's somehow magically untranslatable to a different platform
By that logic, I could stick a 360 disc in my computer and it would play the game fine. Or, I could install skin and texture packs to TF2 Xbox from FPSBanana and it would work flawlessly, right? EDIT: Besides, its not impossibly difficult to do but its rather unnecessary. Just easier to make it platform specific.
dude it's a set of slider values, don't act as if it's somehow magically untranslatable to a different platform
While that is certainly something that would be easy to do, I wouldn't really expect them to do that.
