i played normal and he fell off at like 50% health.
just aim for his head and use SMGs/Rifle if you have it.

Only thing I'm missing is the ability to weaponise street objects i.e. pick up bins, newstands, fire hydrants, etc. would have liked to see that return or even be improved but it's not there at all :(
