The more money you spend on cars the less money you spend on upgrades, which is only a problem if you don't have a massive income from already owning the entire city before doing the story missions themselves.
Yea, but I still would like to be able to buy some of the rarer sports cars instead of having to look around various areas searching for them

Fair enough.
Anyways, beat the game. Both endings, the entire city owned 100%, all collectibles owned, but NOT all upgrades. But seeing as the only upgrades I had left were the ones that would have made me invincible and have infinite ammo, that's okay, especially since the game says I beat the game 100%. I guess I'll earn enough money to get the remaining upgrades when I play the DLC, when those come out. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and I, for one, am incredibly astonished that Hulk Hogan and Sasha Grey were good enough at voice acting to not come off as Large Hams in a game universe that's 100% Pork while still being believable that their characters would exist in said universe. The only thing I have a problem with is that I'm having trouble deciding which of the endings I prefer. The "Good" ending was thoroughly over-the-top and hilarious, but the "Bad" ending was friggin' epic and I have no doubt that this will be the ending that's taken as canon when the inevitable Saint's Row 4 comes out.
Also, I'm also incredibly astonished that I would ever like a Kanye West song, but "Power" just fit in so well whenever it came on.
All in all, this was a great game.
While this game is good, they should have added Don't Stop me Now and I'm Coming Home(cheeseburger, AS radio station). Also, an Asian boss voice. Just saying.
Also, [sp]would letting Shaundi, Reynolds, and Viola die and attack STAG allow you to use them as followers if you did that mission AFTER saving those 3? In other words, replay the final mission, but do the alternate ending instead?[/sp]
[sp]You keep them if you saved them first if that's what you meant.[/sp]
[sp]That is what I meant, if I saved the 3 before attacking STAG/their death. I can't let them die, they are Saints, lost already 4 of them(counting Aisha), and well, that song was playing. But next time, I will try to do the other side to get the achievement.[/sp]

The other ending is badass.
I wish you could purchase cars instead of having to steal them all
I never found any point in vehicle shops in SR2 because they always had over-priced cars which you could just find on the street. I remember stealing random cars, pimping them and them stuffing them into my garage.
If you take a look at Morning Star's Tornado, it has Masako written on side.
What the hell does Masako have to do with MS? Did they buy their services after Corporate Warfare from Ultor or something?
Also, is there any way to obtain Saints-colored Vulture or Tornado?

[sp] Ultor apparently had some business done in Steelport, made evident in the zombie area of the game. Industrial work mostly, but what else is unknown. [/sp]

They all have Masako written on the side, I guess it was a detail on the texture that the developers couldn't change.
But other (SNG and SWAT ones) don't have Masako written on them, not sure about Saints variant.
[sp]In SR2, Masako were a private army of Vogel and Dex, they weren't officially in Ultor and it would seem that they either quit due to heavy loses or were fired by Gryphon.
And considering that Gryphon knew well what happened to his predecessor, I doubt he would double-cross Saints.[/sp]
Most likely, it was just an Easter Egg, like Volition comics.

Then again, the Masako part could've been part of one decal and that's the only one that could've been used to match the design they were trying to go for. But I'm no dev, so I don't know.
Anyone knows what's the classical music playing when Gat took over the plane in the intro?
Anyone? :saddowns:
Ha, I'm replaying through STAG Party and I've realised the backup plan for the [sp]STAG snipers after you rescue Viola.[/sp]
They go running off the building like lemmings. :D
does anyone know the name of the song in the background of the radio commercial for genki's reality climax? it had something to do with polish or polka i remember.

[sp]Seriously, this song was so awesome at the end, I was running like hell to save Shaundi, explosion everywhere and that song in the background, I really felt like a hero. That was epic.[/sp] :v:
In this game I play as a naked girl
Because naked girls are the best
And any game that has naked girls is good
I keep getting a single star/shield of police notoriety.
Seriously I'm not even doing anything I'll just be walking around normally and BAM one star again.
Even when I go inside a property to lose it BAM another star as soon as I walk out.
It got even more ridiculous when I was playing with a friend and we kept getting random 5 stars so STAG kept shitting out tanks to fuck us up.
Tiger Escort is fucked, Courage meter is maxed and nothing is happening :(
FYI I'm not in any restricted area or the main "downtown" island (The one that gives you notoriety at a certain point in the game)

I kicked some random lady in the crotch and got an instant 3 star wanted level.
Unfortunately this also interrupted my friend's shopping routine.
Okay this is just dumb
To test that it wasn't anything I was doing, I stood perfectly still just outside one of my properties.
Waited a while, one star. I also noticed the shield was pulsing, like it does when you do something to piss them off/reset the cooldown timer. Another thing I noticed was that people on the streets were freaking out over something, cars crashing, people running and screaming at nothing in particular (That I could notice, anyway).
I wait a few more seconds, and what happens? Two stars.
Maybe Steelport enacted an Anti-Gang law that makes being a member of a gang illegal :v:
Either that, or Steelport completely went nuts.
I wondered if it thought I was still in a restricted area, so flew downtown. Went down into the exclusion zone and the shields stopped pulsing - looked promising - so I tried flying away again, out of the restricted area.
Result?
Five stars.
Is it just me or do the ragdolls glitch like fuck when you run them over at high speed?

You mean that's not intentional?

FFFFFFUUUUUUUCCCKKKK, The fucking retarded autosave system just overwrote my 78% autosave with the story and a lot of activities completed.
Luckily, i had another save right before the [sp]zombie island[/sp] mission but i'm still pissed..
And of course the game decides to be a fuckton harder and a lot more frustrating when i'm forced to play the last mission again, which i completed on the first try on my first playthrough.
First, i ran out of airstrikes and RPG ammo when trying to take down the STAG tank and started firing at it with the grenade launcher just for the tank to suddenly blow up in my face.. And it made me start the battle from the beginning.
On the second try, i once again got to the part where the STAG tank arrives and was able to almost destroy it, but Oleg decides to be like "HURRRRR TANK GIMME A HUG" and runs straight next to the exploding tank.
"MISSION FAILED-Oleg was killed"
*ragequit*

I ran into a zombie, while colliding with another vehicle. The result was a spazzing zombie ragdoll with its model bones stretching all over the place, making something much more menacing than a dead-er zombie.
