I just read through their forums... NO Multiplayer? Seriously?
Only Co-Op, because the deathmatch in SR2 was more like a race of the first person to get to the AK.
so how does co-op work on xbox360, is it fun?
my friend rented it the other day

You invite him, he joins and does everything you can do in single player.
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
Yes it is fun.
the 'stache completes it
bravo :golfclap:
I built him using the optional slider mods IdolNinja linked to a few pages back, but I removed those because they messed with my normal saves too. I'd say this monstrosity still looks pretty scary without the slider mods, though. Also, what do you think of the other one?
So-so, the really fucked up ones are the ones that deserve praise just to see how hilarious they can become
now i just have to get him to be on his damn xbox when im not on my compootah
Going to install GotR 1.9 b11.

Actually, was just about to release v1.9 beta 13. Bunch of bug fixes and new stuff including cop animations.
Here ya go:

FFFFUUUUUU
Just when I installed b11.
Oh whell... what the hell.
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
Will having different onscreen prompts in co-op do anything.
My logic says that it shouldn't.
[sp]logic is such a liar[/sp]
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
Just tried out the god sliders and : :byodood:
Gonna try instead the other sliders

Unless there is an explict warning then you can assume an optional mod is safe in coop. The onscreen prompts are completely client side and safe.
And why is there no regular male walk?
Anyone up to some Coop?
Volition should consider adding character voice pitch in SR3.
And why is there no regular male walk?
Because they exist in the game by default? That's what you get if you don't select any optional mods.

HAAAAY GUUUIIISSS CAN YOU HEAR MEE CAN YOU HEAR ME HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY

When the Saints broke up this dude went to Steelport to avoid getting killed or some shit.
Gets in the Luchadors and does awesomely enough not to die.
When he heard that the Saints were coming to Steelport he decided to abandon the Luchadors and rejoin them.
OR
that's just Angel, the ex-luchadore we've been hearing about
Seeing as I have almost all territories and stores owned (just need the ones you get from the Epilogue Ultor Missions) in SR2, I've just been leaving the game running and minimized, going back every half hour or so to collect over $100,000 from my stash until I have enough to buy the Ultor Phillips Building Crib and the Ultor Yacht Crib, while still having plenty of money to spare (I don't know how much the Yacht Crib is, but I know the Ultor Phillips Building is 1 million dollars, so my goal will be 1.1 mil, with any extra money needed being gained doing the Epilogue missions. Already at 7 Hundred Thou, so I'm close). Every time I go back into the game, it seems like some completely random occurrence happened while I was away, including cars crashing into me despite me not even being on the road, massive numbers of Saints ganging up on hookers to kill them for no reason, firefights between cops and pimps, and complete disastrous road accidents that just don't seem to make sense. It's like every time I pull up the game I see something that just makes me go "what the fuck happened here???"
Xenomoose, you do realize that the epilogue missions now give you 1.5 million in cash, right?
EDIT:
Make sure to also buy the Volition Gift Shop since it generates $60,000 every day and pays for itself rather quickly.

I already bought the Volition Gift Shop thanks to the money I made off the Sons of Samedi, but as for the Epilogue Missions: O RLY? Well then... I still have a shitton of money, so I guess I'll just be even more rich afterwords.
Also, there's a massive amount of cop-hookers hiding in fear in my crib. Just another WTF moment.
Just to clarify, that's 1.5 million total from all the epilogue stuff combined:
4 epilogue missions + 2 DLC missions + 1 new custom mission
I love that kind of weird crazy random shit that happens in sr2. That kind of craziness is probably what keeps me coming back again and again.
I just beat the DLC missions and the Custom mission. In my humble opinion you should make them Optional. Or at least just make the DLC missions optional, only because I can't understand the context of the DLC missions, since I never played SR2 on the Xbox. They're awesome, but without the cutscenes (which I assume would be very hard to put in, if it's possible at all), it's hard to find a motivation to want to do them, except for the money, which is hard to argue with (lol, $500G for the Custom Mission!). Just a friendly suggestion and in now way am I demanding anything.

Well, they don't count toward your completion percentages. I'm not sure how exactly you are suggesting that they be any more optional than they already are. I can't just have them appear in the mission replay menu if that's what you mean. The game doesn't work that way. They have to show up as mission icons on the map first that you have to complete, and only then can they be replayed.
$500k for that last mission is because it will be extremely hard to finish with what I have planned for it. You only had a chance to see the setup/intro for it and I'm working on the rest which will make you earn that cash + the Aisha and Carlos homie unlocks.
Regarding motivation, you're really not missing much. One intro cutscene less than 30 seconds with talking heads for all of them. The DLC was pretty lame in that regard. Eventually we hope to have the actual soundbanks and cutscenes working, but for now this is the best we can do.
EDIT:
If you mean optional via the install menu, it absolutely cannot happen that way or else it would totally break your save if you ever removed them again after finishing. It would also break coop completely. They have to be part of the base install of GotR to avoid that.
Am i a nerd for getting 100% in Saints Row 2 on PS3.
Does GotR have the outfits from the DLC?
Does GotR have the outfits from the DLC?
No, only the 2 missions. Textures and meshes are in a different format and can't be imported. At least not yet.
my question wasnt answered
why did my name and my friends name appear as must contain name
Because SR2 is a glitchy buggy mess of a port that was coded by a room full of retarded monkeys and it's a bloody miracle that the game works at all?

Soooo pumped for SR The Third, want it NAO!
:buddy: that was fun, showed him the secret bunny island.
So completion of missions in coop = completion in SP if playing your character i guess?
I was looking for some of the Saints Row 2 radio music when I found this:

It's every character voice in the game singing along to Take On Me. Sometimes it sounds like a mess, but other times it sounds genuinely beautiful. I did not make this, but I thought it was worth sharing. When I heard it, I pictured every character I've ever made singing it together, since I've made one with every voice. I do picture them as being friends.
