Anyone?
Maybe on low, the GPU is holding you back.
I thought that SR3 would be the very first game that I got 1000 gamer score from, and rightfully so, since it's a awesome game. But then I saw the Vehicle Theft achievement.
:suicide:
Just want to know, is Saints Row 2 better?
SR2: quantity over quality
SR3: quality over quantity (and there is still a bunch of stuff to do after story mode if you are going for 100%)

that site is shit, don't use it.
Nyeah... I dunno. It's debatable.
SR2 has more content, but SR3 has more content that's done well. Depends on what you're looking for, really.
SR2 has a plot (kinda), and more missions than 3, which are asorted in this awesome way where there are three different story lines that are completely seperate which you can complete in any order you want, majority of the missions are not that great though.
SR3 has a random asortment of missions, choice of missions are almost always linear, while there are still quite a few mediocre missions, especially the activity "missions", but others are incredibly awesome
SR2 has characters other than the Saints and the few major bad guys, and they are actually really good.
SR3 has Hulk Hogan and some pornstar i can't remember the name of as main characters.
SR2 has almost fifty different weapons.
SR3 has upgradeable weapons, and also some weapons which are really unique and awesome.
SR2 has a crap ton of diferent vehicles that are really fun to customize.
SR3 has way less vehicles, and they are not very fun to customize as they are so largely overshadowed by the un-qustomizeable vehicle's such as tanks, fighter jets and the hoverbike.
SR2 has a -lot- of clothing.
SR3 has better looking clothing.
SR2 actually has a lot of emotion running in the plot.
SR3 has dildo bats.

You forgot to tell him that [sp]apart from the Morning Star[/sp] it's really satisfying taking each gang down.

And SR3 has vastly superior gameplay, visuals, physics, vehicle handing, gunplay, animations and the PC port isn't something that might have came straight from hell.
SR3 has Hulk Hogan
That's all people need to know. Get Saints Row: The Third, it was 100% more Hulk Hogan than 2.
So I got the game and in DX11 1920x1080 doesn't fit my screen but in DX9 it does. Any suggestions?
Well surely SR2 is pretty cheap now? Definitely worth picking up if its under £10/$.
As for SR3 - I'm loving it, only played about 3 hours so far, but it is great fun. I loved the mission where Kanye West's 'Power' is playing, great use of soundtrack.
Could also get it for $30 (today's last day)

I never got anything on the THQ store before. Is there any reason I shouldn't buy it from it? I've been dying to get the game, and if its half off there, I might as well.

Gameplay is subjective and depends on taste, and especially when taken as a whole there are many points to disagree on such as how activities are handled, but once again, subjective. While graphics are better, visuals are simply more stylized. Physics, only thing SR3 has is slightly less physics-related glitches from what I've noticed. Vehicle handling, FUCK YES. SR3 IS SO FUCKING TIGHT WHEN IT COMES TO VEHICLES. Gunplay is not only part of gameplay mentioned above, but I noticed fuckall difference between SR2 and SR3. Animations are again part of visuals. And PC port? There's mods for that. (Except for the interface, but I personally prefer using my interface with keyboard rather than mouse anyway.)

Gameplay is not subjective. The gameplay in SR3 is a lot smoother and the controls aren't so stiff, that's not subjective, that's just how it is. And yeah, visuals are more stylized and they actually look good this time. SR2 tried to look realistic but failed at that horrible and just ended up looking goddamn ugly.
I absolutely hated Saints Row 2. It felt fatuous, attention-seeking and dumb. On the other hand, I absolutely adore Saints Row 3.
It's kind of like Family Guy imbecile humor compared to South Park imbecile humor; they both share a lot of the same elements, but I feel that Saints Row 3 pulled them off a lot better and in a much more cohesive and well-structured way.
I don't really know how to describe it, I just felt Saints Row 3 had more style and less "STR8 THUG GANGSTA FRUM DA HOOOOD" bullshit in it.
Equating SR2 to Family Guy is an insult to SR2. If anything, SR2 is more like South Park, while SRTT is like Robot Chicken. SR2 and South Park are stupidly funny, but they both, from time to time, have moments and messages that they convey to the audience. SRTT and Robot Chicken are just stupidly funny for the sake of being stupidly funny.
Well, that's just how I see it from my perspective. Saints Row 2 felt coarse to the point of being an unfinished mess of a game, whereas Saints Row 3 felt sublime to play.
Interestingly, I see them as being completely the other way around to the way you do. Saints Row 2 seemed stupidly funny for the sake of being stupidly funny, whereas Saints Row 3 had it feel more fitting based on the particulars of the story. Saints Row 3 was a game of escalation, with each mission upping the ante beyond what you thought was possible, with well-written dialogue and inventive scenarios.
Saints Row 2 was just "HAHAHAHAHAAH STREAKING IS FUNNY!" "LOL OMG PIMPS R FUNI LOLOLOL"
At least that's how I see it, but by all means you're entitled to a different opinion.
It's funny, because I think that SR2 had a better story than 3, but that's mostly because 3 had, in my opinion, shitty cutscenes that did little to convey the story, and the characters didn't get enough characterization. Also, I don't really think you played the actual story for SR2 because Pimps and Streaking were pretty much nonexistant in it (those were pretty much just side mission-related stuff), meanwhile SR3 can't go several minutes without making a penis joke (Seriously, the Penetrator shows up not just as a weapon but in several cutscenes, and there's a bunch of jokes about BDSM/Bondage, to boot). Seriously, SRTT is the more immature game.
I don't suppose there's any trainers or anything I could use to cheat my way back to where I was?

The game is not that long anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up.

WHY
Got 1000 gamerscore from this game last week. Now I wait for DLC.
Can anyone tell me how to steal the Stag papercraft that gets blown up after a couple of shots ?
Apparently even if im flying closer to the moon, the enemies have 100% accuracy...
My best attempt was flying towards the sea and just dodge the choppers that pop up infront of me, but even then as soon as i get near land, rain of bullets.
*sigh*
edit
*facepalm*
Get Condor / Call Reynolds / army gone
i guess that's one way of doing it
I found the game awesome, but I do have a few problems. Since everyone I know love lists, i shall list all my likes and dislikes of the game, it's filled to the brim with SR3 and SR2 spoilers, so click with caution:
[sp]Likes:
- The mission with Kanye West's Power.
- Burt Reynolds
- How awesome some of the missons are, I really felt excited doing them.
- The music in the game.
- Upgrades.
- The voice acting. I really found it believable and impressive to listen to.
- Proffesor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax, that was a lot of fun, and I would have liked more of them, but there was enough at least.
Dislikes:
- The fact that the death of Gat and Kiki (and possibly Shaundi and Viola) were not very dramatic at all, I didn't even realise Gat was dead until the the Belgian dude mentioned it over the phone. Carlos's death in Saints row 2, now that was dramatic, I was close to tears, but this game just didn't have that flare.
- The save shaundi ending, it was almost definitely the ending most people would pick, yet it was definitely the worse ending, the Daedelus ending was a much better and much more emotional ending, and it was hilarious, Pierce, president of Steelport. Saving Shaundi had a crazed STAG employee that ent crazy for almost no reason whatsoever, and a far too happy ending. The daedelus ending had that tension that you would expect when you let your own friend die.
- How short some of the missions, actually not just the missions, everything in general was. I really was expecting a much longer Chariot ride, but it was less than 30 seconds long. And Zimos is only in like two missions, why didn't they do more with him? Loren was only in the game for a couple of missions and the morning star were defeated before I even realised, why was that? I didn't even realise Loren was dead at first.
I have a lot of other complaints, but I don't remember them. [/sp]
I rate this game: 91/100
It could have been longer and it could have had a better plot, but I had a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and I look forward to playing the Co-op with a friend.

Gotta remember, this is basically Volition's demo run of their new engine (I think its new engine). That's why a lot of crap was short. We can most definitely expect a ton of shit in the future.

Hell it's SR3, anything is possible. They could even make Atlantis surface on the coast and no one would have suspicions about it. Give me some lengthy DLC like the Fallout ones and I'll buy it.
If you did the good ending first, will replaying the final mission to see the bad one change the game world as if only the bad ending happened?

That sounds like the best DLC ever. Except its not Atlantis, its Genki Land. With rockets blasting everywhere and mascots pouring out of the burning towers.
best idea yet
So, is this game good enough to buy?

I loved [PROTOTYPE]
I thought GTA4 needed more shit exploding.
Yes.
Played for a few hours the past few days, and I've got to say I'm disappointed. It's a pretty shitty shooter, basically. I love the writing and humor, generally, but the core gameplay is empty and soulless. The activities are good ideas, but again, the fact that it's really nothing more than a mediocre-at-best TPS brings down the whole experience.
[editline]6th December 2011[/editline]
It also feels really weirdly truncated. I just finished the early mission in which you kill that Belgian dude, and it felt really sudden and short. I mean, he shoots Gat at the beginning of the game and it feels like there's going to be a string of missions pitting you against his gang ultimately resulting in some sort of climatic battle against him.
Instead, there's a few missions about buying property and then you go to his tower, fight through literally two rooms of thugs, and kill him without any exposition or dialogue. Like, excuse me? That's it?
[editline]6th December 2011[/editline]
Granted, that's based off of like four hours of gameplay. But not once have I really been gripped during those four hours.

The rest is pretty much the same way, destroying the gangs is a very lackluster experience.
I had myself questioning why I was bothering to do it. sure there was a reason to kill the belgian guy but the other 2 didn't do shit to you in any way.
Killing off the gangs was definitely no where near as satisfying as in SR2.
