The content isn't in your fucking game. It's in your folder.
Again, just because it SHOULD doesn't mean it IS.
I hate DLC and I think it's retarded to plan DLC before the game is even out. SR3 is the worst motherfucker I have seen when it comes to DLC. 7 fucking confirmed DLC on release and 40 more planned is fucking retarded.
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN PIRACY IS OK. If you have to pay for it you have to pay for it.
Why? So I can basically tell them its OK to do this? Give them money to tell them they should continue stripping content out and forcing us to pay for DLC that's already in the game we payed 50-60 dollars for?

If you don't think it's ok then you shouldn't have bought SR3 in the first place. It's too late now, you have already given your support. By not buying the DLC you are protesting.
By pirating it you are just scaring them away from the PC market.
And this has been completely derailed from what it's actually about. You talking about pirate copies of SR3 on the official SR3 forums and being lucky enough to only have your thread and posts deleted instead of getting a juicy ban.

I'm not talking about pirate copies of SR3.
You can very easily crack the DLC on legitimate copies.

Same shit. Pirate copies are cracked copies.
Doesnt excuse them from locking all the stuff from the game though.
Its a dick move.
hope you guys know THQ is behind all the dick moves and not Volition
of course they are going to milk SR3 for all they can get, it's their only real frachise other than WWE games, and I seriously don't know anyone who plays wrestling games anymore, not even kids
i'm not white knighting volition, they're also at fault, it's just that thq is the real bad guy here
Some companies even make you pay for the official soundtrack when you could technically extract it from your game files. It's a legal grey area to unlock what is already there and we probably shouldn't discuss this. If people pay at least for the main game I don't really care what they do with day 0 DLC.

Still: Professor Genki Preorder Pack and Shark Attack DLC master race.

While I do disagree with what they did, I forgive THQ for it. Why?
Because THQ needs money. Bad. They've been losing profits hand over fist all year, and they've lost them by doing the right thing. Most of THQ's titles aren't safe bets like COD (excluding Homefront). They're stuff like this game, or the Metro series, or the 40k franchise. I don't like what they're doing, but I can actually see a reason for them to do it. It's not like they've excluded whole massive missions, it's just some cosmetic stuff and a weapon or two.
While on the subject of DLC, I'd just like to take a minute to say that I'm tired of the blind hate that DLC receives from a lot of people. The thing is, people don't realize that everything that is an idea or that pops into the dev's head during development can't be put into the game. If, say, a month before the game releases a dev has an idea for a totally sweet mission, that's too bad. They can't just bring production to a screeching halt to jam it in there. They have deadlines to meet, and so DLC is a way for them to publish all those ideas they had as little extra bundles. SR3 is the only one I can think of that blatantly cuts out content. I know of no other games that do do that, and for the most part that's a paranoid conspiracy theory with no evidence. I'm just tired of everyone throwing a bitch fit when $2 cosmetic DLC comes out for a game.

I'm not one of the 'haters' or how you want to put it. Nonethless most people seem to forget DLC doesn't equal DLC:
There's good lengthy ass DLC such as:
+ Lair of the Shadow Broker (Mass Effect 2)
+ Fallout 3 & New Vegas Side Story DLC
Then there's the bad type of DLC:
- Purely cosmetical
- Weapon with a script that some coder could make in 5 minutes
I'll not be the judge on this game, make up your own mind.
Same shit. Pirate copies are cracked copies.
errrrr
I feel sorry for you guys who didn't get all or most of the DLC. After all, there is a lot unreleased.
The DLC's aren't that surprising and special anyways. Here's what else you'll be getting from the DLC's.

The purple shotgun is a level 4 Grave Digger with out the incendiary ammo. It gives you more rep for each gang kill you get. It can't be upgraded.
As for the rifle, I think it comes with the explosives pack. Its a silenced rifle with a useable scope. Its fairly weak, and can't be upgraded.
As for the M2 G-Launcher, its pretty fun to use if upgraded. Its nothing like the luchadores crap-cannon they use, rather then the fact that it shoots grenades.
errrrr
Err what?
You're taking content that isn't yours. It's stealing.
That's all pirating is, stealing content by cracking it.
Pirating isn't strictly defined to downloading cracked games. Cracking your own game is pirating it.
i wonder what fun stuff is going on in the saints row thread!
oh... a retarded argument about piracy, that's ok i didn't want to talk about the game anyway

The rifle is actually a bonus for buying the guide book.

I usually like to pick out a vehicle and customize it and have it as a signature vehicle for them, and I thought the compensator would suit Duke quite well.

they are ugly as hell, and lame because they are not toggleable.
but that POP POP POP POP POP when driving near traffic IS THE BEST SOUND EVER.

Eh...maybe later.

They fixed it.
The hoverbike in the guide DLC is fun as fuck to drive...as for the rifle I'd have to go check if I used the one from the pack or the one that was in the game....as I remember upgrading it I think I used the one that came with the game

It didn't convince me but it gave me a massive throwback to Arkham Asylum. Anyone who played it will know what I'm referring to.

But performance wise it's identical?

its the same performance. only difference is the paint.
its the same performance. only difference is the paint.
Well that's not worth $25 for a guide and DLC.
