Ok, so lets say I had a hard time completing a mission because I kept dying and had no chance. So I decided to by the upgrade that made 75% resistant to bullet damage and extended my health in order to complete it. Now everything ahead will be just as easy, and I can't revert prior to a prior save because I want to progress further.
Don't be stupid. We should have the option to turn on and turn off upgrades. Stop defending laziness.
Well if it's a problem how much you get shot, why would you want to turn off the upgrade? And, furthermore, if it helps you progress in the story, why would you want it off?
Well if it's a problem how much you get shot, why would you want to turn off the upgrade? And, furthermore, if it helps you progress in the story, why would you want it off?
You people are like rocks with fucking keyboards and Internet access I swear.
what the fuck guys he just wants the ability to turn upgrades on and off thats pretty fucking legit he shouldnt have to save and load his game
So it takes just as much effort to save as it does to code it. And ONE of them is already in the game.
Guess which.
Ok, so when people make a game they should just cut away any content the player can do by themselves through roundabout ways?
Most retarded thing I've ever heard. Also if you save on with and one without and you buy something in the one save you would have to re-buy it in the other save if you wanted to use it. Which is quite a hazzle.
I can't understand how you can even argue that a single on and off button for upgrades that makes you permanently immortal is excusable to leave out off the game. You're saying that they should be lazy with their games and offer as few choices as possible just so the players can go fuck themselves in the ass figuring out what wasn't implemented even though it's common sense to have it there.
I'm extremely glad I never bought those upgrades myself, would ruin the whole game for me.
You people are like rocks with fucking keyboards and Internet access I swear.
It tells you EXACTLY what the upgrade does, you buy them, and then you bitch about it? Why should a game developer have to cater to an arrogant person like you? It takes a minute to save the game. Stop being bitchy and enjoy the game. Next time, you should think ahead.

Oh my fucking god.
You know why I bought them? Because I thought I was able to fucking TOGGLE THE FUCKING UPGRADES YOU FUCKING IGNORAMUS.
You know, it's kinda common sense to think that these fucking people would have made the option to toggle the fucking upgrades. It's not hard to expand on what they already coded, I shouldn't have to, like dgg said, use roundabout ways to have upgrades selected or not.
Plus, I'm not requesting they cater to me. This should have been in the game. You do not make OPTIONAL upgrades available if you are stuck with it once you get it.
I don't care about any of the other abilities, I just want the option to turn off Damage upgrades.
And it takes a minute to save the game? Man this process sure sounds annoying:
- Hey I want to be invincible right now.
- Pause game
- Save game.
- Pull up phone. Buy upgrades.
- Well now I'm bored.
- Pause game
- Load game.
- Revert to prior save.
- Repeat.
Where it could simply be:
- I feel like being invincible now.
- Pull out phone and enable upgrades.
- Now I'm bored.
- Pull out phone and disable upgrades.

Please stop.
Is anyone else's game updating?
Hello all PC players, we will be releasing a patch later today with the following adjustments:
General
- Fixed a situation where the game can sometimes crash when re-entering the Mixtape Menu after adding ALL songs to Mixtape playlist then backing out of the menu.
- Fixed the player being unable to select the Kobra with the mouse in the “Pistols” selection of their Weapon Cache.
- Fixed a situation where if a player purchases every piece of clothing, the Wardrobe menu may become unresponsive or some clothing items may vanish.
- Fixed an issue where the RC Gun Self-Destruct button can become unresponsive if a user binds the “Grenade Toss” action to the non-default key.
- Fixed a situation where if a player maps a QuickTime Event button to Mouse 4 or Mouse 5, the QTE may not show the correct button.
- Fixed a situation where the “Activate Cheat?” prompt can sometimes fail to warn a user that their auto-save will be disabled when cheats are activated.
- Fixed a freeze where if a player is using a controller, and attempts to get back into the game by pressing the “Start” button while in the control schemes menu.
- Added multiple voice chat optimizations during online and LAN play.
- General sound optimizations.
Eyefinity Specific
- Fixed a situation where if a player is at Saints HQ and zooms in with sniper rifle, graphical corruption can occur when moving the camera.
- Corrected issues related to UI items being cutoff at 3840x1024 resolution.
Co-Op Specific
- Added a correction for the “Partners in Crime” achievement not properly tracking all user progress in co-op.
- Centered the “UP” button during “Tiger Escort”, when a client’s computer is asked to “scratch the tiger”.
I would also like to make a quick statement with regard to game optimization. We are aware that a small handful of users are still seeing framerate issues when playing the game, particularly when roaming/driving around the city. We are actively working with the teams at AMD and Nvidia on potential optimizations for those specific users that have been affected by this, and we hope to have either another patch in the near future, and/or a driver update to help correct the situation. Please note that our team has, and will continue to dig into this issue until it is properly corrected. We appreciate the patience of any player still running into this.
I thought it was obvious that you couldn't turn off upgrades when you buy them. It sucks that you can't turn them off, but if you didn't bother to check before you used it, it's your own damn fault.
Just a head's up that the new patch today breaks a lot of the scripting mods. More info here:

I find it bullshit that I cannot turn into a dragon cyber-warrior in the actual city and wreck everything
How were people going to know that upgrades are permanent when it doesn't say it?
We're arguing that you can't lock them.
More like arguing that you can't disable certain ones.
uhh isn't that kind of obvious?
I don't see what the problem is just don't upgrade if you don't want it
uhh isn't that kind of obvious?

They want it sometimes.
oh well I dunno
I guess keep a save for when you want to use upgrades and one for not using them?
uhh isn't that kind of obvious?

It is like cheats, just permanent and "legit". Sure let's be invincible, sounds fun. Then you stand there and is invincible and is forced to be it the rest of the game without any challenges at all.
Sure you do not use any upgrades at all while other people are like "ok, I guess I could upgrade my resistance to some weakness" then after a while, as the game progresses, you eventually have more problems and need to upgrade that then in the end you think "ok, let's do the next lev- am I immune to that now!?"
