It was just as nice as on a console.
The only complaint I have about the handling in GTA IV is that there is too much body roll, the wheels sometime clip through the wheel arches.

Yeah, it's kind of like the Skyrim thread is the megathread for the Elder Scrolls.
I loved playing Saint's Row 2, unfortunately no friends of mine got it so i was always playing singleplayer and i still loved it, I just hope some of my friends will get the third so i'll be able to coop.
If anyone wants to know more about the opening, one of the writers for a magazine I'm subbed to recently wrote an article about a preview, so here's the gist of the opening:
You and Shaundi are in a plane with the belgian guy and some of his goons. Naturally, a firefight breaks out which is interrupted by the cargo hold being blasted open, causing Shaundi to fall out. You are so awesome that you jump after her without hesitation while trying to avoid burning car wrecks falling out of the cargo hold. Once you get to Shaundi, you find the plane's taken a turn in the wrong direction (i.e. coming straight at you). Your amazingly manly mind decides to (and I hope you're ready to get your mind blown) shoot out the front window in the cockpit, fly through, kill any goons you can and fly out the hole in the airplane you originally fell out of.
Yeah, pretty much a buy on release like I did with SR2.

On the subject of handling, I hated GTAIV's because it was impossible to have any kind car chase. That was one of the many reasons why I still play SR2 and not GTAIV.
And the plane thing is just fucking awesome. I want to see Rockstar top that.
