Looks like they're adding weapon customization in this one. And considering what kind of game Saint's Row is, it's probably going to be batshit insane. Like putting grenade launchers and scopes on a pistol insane.
I hope gunplay has a bit more weight to it this time around.
That, and how the planes taking off from the airport simply dove into the ocean after a minute (which obliterated my plan to surf one) was my only complaint with Saints Row 2.
I hope they don't change it too much. More customisation is what I'm after, along with fresh new reinventions of the formula. Here's hoping Volition won't pull a Molyneux...

I'm subscribed.
But my subscriptions go to my home address.
Five hours away.
Across an international boundary.
Ugh.
So what you guys rather: Same style gunplay, or a cover system?
I honestly think a cover system would make the game a lot more fun to play, as long as it was optional.

I sure do hope there is weapon customization. Saints Row is famous for customization, and maybe we'll even be able to paint our weapons or put a logo on the barrel of a gun, as well as various other attachments that affect the gunplay.
Because they're taking an less serious approach I'd want more over the top action, but not like just cause, or ''serious'' like the bourne series. but more groofy like, like in the movie crank. With the cover of poeple fighting outside the ramp of a flying cargo plane, it seems like that's already included.

I'm guessing it will be a serious story with out-of-wack gameplay. I'm interested in the story more than the gameplay at this point.
I just hope side missions keep me entertained even after I've done the main story. I don't know why but I just didn't feel like doing trail blazing etc after all that shit. The perks felt useless since I did everything.

I only really went for the infinite ammo+no damage stuff. Unfortunately after that, the rest of the game went by like a breeze. I hope the difficulty scale increases for The Third.
Fuck yeah. I hope they fix the driving though, it seemed to be the only flaw in Saints Row II.
Saints Row: The Third makes me think the game will be more classy than usually, if you get what I mean.
I don't get how you guys thought SR2 was fun, the driving was horrible.

Surely you have a better argument then, 'the game is horrible because the driving is bad'.
Personally, I had no problems with the driving on the console version. Your bad experience may be part due to the fact that you got the PC version.
What the heck do you mean by "regular white person"? You saying Americans are regular or something?
Most of the British accents I've heard aren't that ridiculous and silly sounding. And I want to make Bruce Willis, but it's kind of hard when he sounds so silly. I'd be happy with a no voice option, too.
I remember the cheats for this game, they were hilarious.
Make everybody tiny, low gravity, super speed, and super strength.
Kick your friend and he would go into the upper atmosphere. I killed a police helicopter by punting my friend into it.

The collisions between cars felt pretty bad IMO, at least compared to GTA IV. Crashing into other cars felt like driving into brick walls.

Low gravity + super strength + pimp slap was amazing.

I don't know, the cars can just turn way too sharply, I'm looking at videos and it looks better than I remember, though.

It works if you just stand on it. I once rode a plane all the way to the nuclear power plant island.
Problem is that when you carsurf, the drivers meant to freak out and crash around fast, the planes just kinda slowly drift to their doom because the AI just gets lobotomised or something.

Use cheat, "Car mass hole"
Obliterate SWAT cars with taxi's :smug:

Does anyone else have strange thoughts on this?
Sorry I accidentally rated you late instead of rainbow.
You can rerate, yeknow?
I bet that if there is a special edition of Saints Row: The Third (Which im sure they will), You'll be getting a Johnny Gat bobble head with the game and such. I would buy that.
Also, i have high hopes the multiplayer is going to be better than the first two. If they sort out the hit detection and such. AND Have online co-op for more than two people. Then this game will be fucking brilliance.
(Edit: Screw it, when i get back on my computer im going to register in the fourms again.)
I just hope the game doesn't look like a slightly better PS2 game again. Admit it, Saints Row 1 wasn't the prettiest of games when it came out but boy did the dialogue and gameplay make up for it.
Can't wait for SR3.

Whoa, I like it. Kinda reminds of Gotham.
Also, is that the Brooklyn Bridge in the background? I hope they won't go crazy with New York landmarks. I love that city, but I don't want to see yet another sandbox game set there.
I seriously hope it has better performance this time, no offense to Saints Row 2 but my (at the time) good computer had serious trouble running it on lowest.
I also kind of hope they'll allow for 4 player co-op this time around.
I'd like Free Roam like GTA4's but Bigger and Better.
But that could be too much to ask for. 16 people pissing about in Stillwater sounds like a match made in heaven though.
