when the hell is holiday 2011?
November 15th, at least that's what it says on their videos, and says that on steam as well.

I'll wait and see to what I'll preorder it. If it now will have split-screen I'll get it for PS3 absolutely, but until something is confirmed, I'll wait.
The fourms say no split screen, but things may change.
The Saints Invade San Diego Next Week July 15th, 2011
The time has come, citizens of San Diego! The Saints are coming, and we're ready to paint the town purple. While E3 last month was more of a private show, any of you that happen to be in San Diego will get a chance to experience some of what we have planned, all of which you can see below. Granted, for the best stuff, you'll want to be in attendance on the show floor (Booth #5145), but we've got a little bit of something for everyone. There's a lot to go over, so make sure you read it all. First out of the gate, if you're on the floor of San Diego Comic Con, we'll have a booth setup on the floor, with a demo room that anyone can get into. it's a small theatre, so you'll want to get there early to get your place in line. Also, once you're done viewing the demo, we'll be handing out these awesome Killbane Bobbleheads (seen on the left), as long as supplies last. Outside of our booth, we're also going to have some autograph sessions with two of our upcoming voice actors in Saints Row: The Third, and some special guests, which we'll be revealing early next week, along with times and dates for when you'll want to show up to the THQ / Saints Row booth. These are very limited sessions, and it's going to be first come, first served. Outside we have even more going on. First, across the street in the Petco parking lot, Professor Genki and his Man-a-pult (this is a REAL vehicle) will be setup for all of our fans. Come on by and say hello, get your picture taken, and you may even be able to pick up a limited edition Professor Genki t-shirt! One of the biggest attractions we're also planning in terms of pure scale is a 3D projection on the side of a building, across the street from SDCC. This will occur on July 21st from 9:30-11 PM, and on July 22nd, from 9-11 PM. No hints about what we'll be showing, but you'll want to be downtown, ready to see this in action. If you have no idea what a 3D Projection is, here's an example. You do not want to miss this if you're in the area. Nearing the end of our announcements here, IGN celebrates Comic-Con with THQ for the upcoming release of Saints Row: The Third in an invitation-only party at Hard Rock Hotel’s FLOAT nightclub. Special celebrity guests will walk the red carpet on Thursday, July 21. We're going to give all of you in the area a chance to get into this exclusive private party early next week, so stay tuned for details, because this is going to be the hottest party on the West Coast.
Sorry if this is late, I just woke up. :v:

Too bad Comic con's tickets run out like 5 months before it actually starts haven't been to it since they started selling tickets on line. I don't want to post again but the post beneath me, HOLY FUCK YES. Playing with friends who had a fucking shirt dlc won't be annoying anymore!
Confirmed by V-Singular on the SR forums, you'll be able to play with anyone no matter what DLC they have or don't have, no more restrictions like in SR2.
Sorry, got a tad overexcited and completely fucked up the naming of the pack and I may or may not have missed out or spontaneously forgotten that the Genki pack thing was on PC as well. Goddammit, I really shouldn't check this shit at 1 AM.

FUCK.

You can now pre-order it from Steam, unfortunately it's $90USD for Australians.
This is the reason why I would buy from somewhere other than steam. $90 is the highest price for a single game Ive seen on steam, and I shouldn't have to pay that much especially when compared to the US

is there a mod for saints row 2 to make the cars not handle like utter shit it's become so ridiculous that I've just started walking everywhere
is there a mod for saints row 2 to make the cars not handle like utter shit it's become so ridiculous that I've just started walking everywhere
There is a mod like that and I think you can install it along with GOTR.

Or alternatively you can purchase a downloadable copy from the store for $50 which you should be able to activate on Steam. Hopefully they don't decide to change the prices as when I have more money I will probably buy the downloadable copy from them.
I'm trying to make a Saints Row 3 playlist, any recommendations? All I've got in there at the moment is: Power Stronger Terrible, I know. Recommendations?
There is a mod like that and I think you can install it along with GOTR.
The handling mod that you're referencing is actually bundled as an optional mod with the latest beta of v1.9.

This game better have a classic rock station on it. I saw the eight minute gameplay video and I have decided that I am buying this. It looks like a helluva lot of fun.
I really want there to be another aquabats song in this game, I remember there was one in saints row 1. Come on volition they released a new album since the first game and everything.
I hate how there are tons of gameplay videos, but it's all that same video but with a different guy talking.
I hate how there are tons of gameplay videos, but it's all that same video but with a different guy talking.
Hopefully the demo at Comic Con will be something new, and a story trailer.
I hope they show off character customization.
Story and customization would be great to show off at Comic-Con. [editline]18th July 2011[/editline]
This game better have a classic rock station on it. I really hope they have some decent classic rock like AC/DC and Creedance, and some decent muscle cars like some model of Camaro or Trans Am from the late 60's or 70's.
In the gameplay video, when the guy gets in the car, you see the Klassic station from SR2 and SR1, so I think they all may be making a return.
As long as The Krunch makes a return. With some of the shitty tracks removed.
In the gameplay video, when the guy gets in the car, you see the Klassic station from SR2 and SR1, so I think they all may be making a return.
That might be a placeholder though. If they don't change even the names of the stations, that's pretty damn lazy.
In the gameplay video, when the guy gets in the car, you see the Klassic station from SR2 and SR1, so I think they all may be making a return.
The Klassic is a classical music station, last time I checked. :eng101:
The Klassic is a classical music station, last time I checked. :eng101:
This and The Mix were my favorites. Classical music just fit flying in the Ultor gunship a little too well. The 80's music was all perfect as well. I really hope those make a comeback.
Power CG Trailer - Developer Commentary Jul 18, 2011
In this exclusive SaintsRow.com developer commentary, Steve Jaros, Lead Writer for Saints Row: The Third, walks us through the "Power" CG Trailer released last month. Within, you'll learn about many easter eggs found within the trailer, gain some in-depth knowledge on the new and returning Third Street Saint lieutenants, and even learn who the mysterious woman in the FBI jacket is sitting on the couch, typing away on her laptop throughout the gun battle. There were a lot of hidden bits throughout the trailer, and we wanted to ensure that all of our fans received full exposure to what went on behind the scenes during the creation of this trailer. We've slowed down a few portions, zoomed in, and even re-wound to take a closer look at some of the extras included. You may have seen this trailer before, but you've never had a chance to learn this much behind the scenes as to what went into making it.

You can find Steve right here on the community site under the name "V-Melonball", so if you see him around, make sure to say hello, or even thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to help me out with creating this video. We all hope that you've enjoyed this look behind the scenes and even take away some new information from the video. I'd also like to give a quick tip of the hat to user "SaintsRowForums", as he created a similar trailer earlier on, but as we had already started on this before his video was posted, we made sure to finish up our version. Everyone at Volition appreciates your effort and contribution to the community site.
Sorry if this is late.
saints in cahoots with ultor? wat
Did you play corporate warfare? Yeah, they already did that.
