Why does everyone always say "THE AIM OF A COMPANY IS TO MAKE MONEY" as if that excludes them from complaint and controversy? My happiness with a product is directly correlated to how much money I'm willing to spend on it. If it doesn't come with what I want (co-op, for example) then it's not worth the money.
Why the complaint about modern gaming? Because I find myself buying a LOT less games today than I did only a few years ago, despite having WAY more disposable income now. They're selling us features that used to be standard as add-ons, and no one sees anything wrong with this? Man you guys are fucking idiots.
I hope the moral justification of "THEY'RE IN IT FOR THE MONEY LOL" makes your purchase feel more worthwhile.

I like DLCs because they expand game.
I don't like paying for DLCs "day 1" because it inflates total cost of the game by a whole lot.
I don't like playing game without majority of it's expansions because I enjoy "complete" feeling in terms of content.

You know, thinking it over wouldn't they have announced the DLC with the pent house one? This is getting suspicious.
Just because they've already planned the DLC it doesn't mean that they're doing it just for money, they just want to make sure that there's constantly something to do, even for people who finish the game. And to make sure they can get it released as soon as possible they need to begin working on it during development, otherwise it will be months late, and people will complain. But it won't be finished until a while after release so they can't exactly bundle it with the game. It makes sense, and if course it can't be free because if they get nothing out of it, why bother?
And if you don't think that's good justification, did you know that Valve began HL2: Ep 1 and Ep 2 at the same time? They were doing exactly the same, thinking ahead to prevent long waits. Too bad they screwed up.
Co-op DLC is the most retarded thing you could possibly imagine. That's not new content for people who finish the game.
The game is going to have a lot of DLC post launch but that article is bullshit. The steam store says the game is coop, they can't legally lie and make you pay for coop if it's advertised in the store.

If you unlock infinite sprint, you could just run from them in a hilarious fashion. I also remember once parking between two rows of gas pumps in a gas station while being wanted, then a police car came flying and killed me.

The XBLA saints row game wasn't just scrapped; it never began production.
The guy's a bullshitter. Everything you've read are all rumors that are highly likely to be not true.

Saints Row will be shown off at GamesCon and they have their own booth as well.
I REALLY hope they either show off a customization trailer or something STAG related.
