Oh man I am dying to get that song that's playing during The Deckers trailer.
A video analysis by me.
TRON!
This is getting better and better, I can't wait. I'm glad I pre-ordered.
except they are, they're just highly marketed. The Saints still do actual criminal activity but upon getting rid of Ultor they rode Ultor's fame and kinda took it over to only benefit themselves, so all the fame Ultor had for being a great company, the Saints got in the form of marketing, advertising, etc. I think what's different is that MorningStar is like...a well respected business, but they do these shady behind the scenes things. The Saints, on the other hand, are known criminals.
Kind of like Hell's Angels with their support stores?
Looking at the Saints Row website right now, I'm kinda digging the style of the Deckers. I never knew many female geeks were hot.. :/
The deckers look like a bunch of a-holes, Sure hope you can kill them all.
They do seem super obnoxious, but they're missions will probably be a lot of fun. I like bright lights. :v:
I just hope we can get those fancy light up cars and jackets and shit for the saints.
I just hope we can get those fancy light up cars and jackets and shit for the saints.
Well, they did kind of give away in the Luchadores trailer that once you beat the boss, at least in that case, you get a choice as to what to do with him. I won't be surprised if they do something similar with Miller -- what kind of flashy $#!+ you get afterward depends on whether you kill him or spare him. And just speculation here, but I suspect that this is precisely where the multiple endings of the game come in -- what exactly happens, and your ability to deal with it, is entirely reliant on whether you spared or destroyed Matt and Killbane.

You get a major choice at the end of each act, and there are three acts. In those acts you have a number of more minor choices and the final one does actually affect the outcome of the game. There are some very interesting choices in there, and I think people will really have to think about the paths that they choose. We’re excited about this feature, and to give you an example: Early on the game you have the opportunity to decide to blow up a building, or leave it. You get a certain reward based on whatever your choice is. So if you keep it, you can use it as a crib and go back there later. It’s beneficial as it’s in a well-situated area of the city. This is where you can go to access your weapons cache, change your outfit and all of that. If you choose to blow it up, you get a different reward, which is more monetary income per day. So it’s like, “Do I want the ease of having a crib in the middle of the city, or do I want to get money quicker so I can buy upgradeable weapons faster?” So we feel these are compelling choices that will make players think about what they choose.
I'm gonna keep the building because I'm a pacifist.
I'm going to quickly make another save just to see the explosion
I'm gonna keep the building because I'm a pacifist.
This may not be the game for you
Good to know that there's a lot of variety in the gangs. They're pretty unique.
This may not be the game for you
Maybe he's just against architectural violence?
Dive Into the Deckers.Die Mission Sep 12, 2011
When you hear the words "toilet", "blow up doll" and "tank battle", what comes to mind? Did you answer, "The Deckers Virtual World" ? If not, well then you're still not in the full Saints Row mindset, but we'll get you there soon enough. In the exclusive gameplay video below from the fine folks at GameSpot, we'll all find out why those words fit together into a single package. I love how they simulated that lag. Just amazing.
I hope someone makes a mod that let's you be a sex doll and a toilet whenever you want.
I hope someone makes a mod that let's you be a sex doll and a toilet whenever you want.
That's what Gentlemen of the Row is for
"Know what I see Kenzie, I'm a fucking toilet." I saw this level back in the trailer for Deckers, who else is going to play this campaign first. I would since that bastard did cause the Saints to be bankrupt.

shit that's awesome
This game is just awesome compressed onto a disc. It's really quite difficult to imagine this getting anything lower than an 8 from even the harshest of review places upon release. I also did a little (big, fast) riff on the Deckers trailer in the latest episode of The Pixel Show (it starts at 1:17 if you don't want to watch the intro). November 15th can't come fast enough.
It's linking to asdfmovie4 on youtube. euggghhhh
Argh, bugger! My apologies, seems it didn't copy the link to the actual video I wanted to show off. Should work properly now, but here's the link again.
Just watched the Decker trailer, maybe the TRON-esque thing was an MMO and by taking it overm the Saints will make money off of it?
