One thing I love about this game (and most other difficult games) is that you spend forever trying to beat an early boss like mom and when you look back you realize how bad you were at the game and how easy the boss which troubled you earlier is
I had my best run ever while trying to get the X-Mas Achievement.
Playing as Cain, I unlocked both Maggy and Eve, used a pill and got warped to a glitch zone which gave me two satanic items for free, and finally managed to defeat Mom for the first time.
If only I had beat Mom before that, I probably would have have been able to beat Mom's Heart as well and unlocked Judas.

Some of them are just bitches though. I hate almost any boss with some kind of random factor involved, like Monstro, and how he just flings shit everywhere. I actually have an easier time with Monstro II because you can lure him into an endless loop of shooting blood to the left and right if he gets in the middle of the room.
I also fucking hate Greed. The 3 shots he fires are too fast and too close together for me to dodge most of the time.
I hate how Monstro II has those fucking blood shooting flies
also fuck those blood covered headless jumpers when you have to face like 6 of them
Had my probably best run yesterday.
Started out as Cain and found My Little Unicorn on Basement 1, killed Famine with ease, found and killed Krampus for the first time and all on the same level too. :v:
Afterwards I kept finding good stuff, had a bunch of keys, coins and bombs doors and obstacles wasn't problems at all. On Depth 1 I met War for the first time and got my first 3rd upgrade for the Cube of Meat and on Depth 2 I found a Chariot card. Note; I was still carrying My Little Unicorn so I went in and defeated Mom for the 2nd time and finally got to The Womb 1.
Then I died because I only had 2 hearts left, but it was totally worth it. For the first time, it actually seemed like the game was being nice to me! :v:
Nothin worst than entering Sheol and finding a room with 3 horseman heads.
Does anyone have this game in gift form? Would love to trade for it

Apparently, the game will remain the same length, the theme of the expansion is "The Light", unless Ed changed his mind.
Maybe there'll be an alternate version of the game, where Isaac progresses upwards through the house and eventually gets to Heaven, and fights God?

I'm not sure if I will buy this soon, the steam winter sale made me paranoid. I bought 3 things before they went on an even bigger sale, and when this will be out I will go "But what if it will go on sale next week?" for a couple of months.
I guess sales can somehow negatively affect... sales.

I had my speed, fire rate, and damage maxed before I hit Caves 2. I have more faith hearts than the game can show in the gauge. My collectible items include: Chocolate Milk, 2x Cube of Meat, The Virus, Cupid's Arrow, Ladder, Lucky Foot, Mom's Eye, PHD, Skatole, Steam Sale, and X-Ray Vision.
