Uhnn guys, I beat mom's heart again, and this happened There was a door to a "Devil's Room" but there was only a trapdoor inside. As I haven't even finished the game more than 5 times, I was afraid to go to sheoul earlier than expected and grabbed the box instead, giving me a rope, with which Isaac killed himself. What happened? (I actually just unlocked Judas, right before this one playthrough)
You will get the item in the box even if you enter in Sheol. Sheol is considered an extra stage in the game rules.
grabbed the box instead, giving me a rope, with which Isaac killed himself. What happened?
It's just one of many endings. It should mean that you unlocked the noose. It's a rare item (I think it can only appear in secret rooms) and it gives you the same effect as the "hanged man" tarot card, but for that entire life instead of for the course of one room.
Samson sounds pretty fucking cool

Wow, had chocolate milk + eye lazor + shovel and I shoveled all the way to mom's heart and beat it for the first time!
Seriously? No one posted this yet? http://twitpic.com/8725l9 SPOILER NEW BOSS Also, there'll be [sp]Gemini[/sp] II

(On the same playthrough)

I hope for new boss music.
Any tips that helped you guys out tremendously? I've only defeated the first version of Mom and been in The Womb once. I've played quite a bit.
There are no secret tricks to win the game. Practice and you will win.
There are no secret tricks to win the game. Practice and you will win.
Well, that's a bit of a misnomer. - Every floor has a hidden secret room which can be found by bombing walls, and is usually in a segment where 2+ "normal" rooms would border it. - If a room is full of far too tricky enemies for your current situation, normal doors can be bombed open before the fight inside is actually over. - If The Book of Revelation is used on a floor, the boss of that level will always be a Horseman of the Apocalypse if possible. The only exceptions is if the Horsemen haven't been released yet, the floor belongs to a fixed boss like Mom, or if you've already beaten the Horsemen for that "tier" and need to advance further to find more. - The Bible[sp]kills both Mom and her heart upon activation while fighting them. But if you continue on to the bonus final boss he will kill YOU upon activation of the Bible, so it may not be worth taking in a full-game run.[/sp] - Blood Banks, if used enough, will eventually explode and drop a special item which gives you an extra heart container and refills four hearts. This means that if you've cleared out a level (or cleared out the path to Mom in her level), it'd be wise to feed any extra hearts lying about the floor to a Blood Bank. - If you have 10-ish coins and aren't planning to buy anything (or just have cash to burn), Beggars are a great investment. They have a chance to drop goodies with every coin handed to them, and if given enough drop a stat upgrade before teleporting away. - Slot machines can give out keys, bombs, pills, hearts, coins, fly companions, and if you're lucky a dollar which sets your money at 99. The "Skull Game" guy can give out keys, bombs, hearts, coins, and if you're lucky an upgrade which makes all flies nonhostile. This means that if you come across an Arcade while your pockets are filled with a good amount of dosh, you can milk the Slots/Skullguy for hearts which can be used to milk the Blood Bank which can be used to milk the Slots/Skullguy again until you have all the supplies you could ever need for anything. - If you don't have the required cash/hearts, a desperate player can still bomb Slots/Blood Banks/Skullguy for a random assortment of goodies. - It's usually not worth it to open a store with a key unless you have at least 15 coins; exceptions being if you really need basic supplies or if you're banking on a big item being put on sale/have the Steam Sale upgrade. - Cain can never get negative pill effects, only positive and neutral. Munch away. - You have a limited amount of pill effects per runthrough, and said effects are each tied to a specific type of pill for that runthrough. So if you get a health down from a solid blue pill, all solid blue pills in that runthrough will be health down but solid blue pills in later runthroughs will most likely be something else. - The "Bad Trip" pill cannot actually kill you, as it will actually transform into a "Full Health" pill whenever you are at or below one whole heart. You can actually see this happen to an equipped Bad Trip pill if you've taken one previously during a run.

don't forget the special rocks that drop goodies when blown up
This is how my judas runs go : die in the first room with monsters
This is how my judas runs go : die in the first room with monsters
Mine goes: Find first treasure room, it's really good. Get robbed in Caves II, rage, and start over with a different character.
Argh, how do you stop steam notifications from groups? I was so close to a perfect run
Argh, how do you stop steam notifications from groups? I was so close to a perfect run
Turn off steam community while playing.
I just learned that the Wiggleworm and Technology make the greatest combo known to man.
This is how my judas runs go : die in the first room with monsters
I almost always win with Judas (barring Sheol) but I don't think I've ever won with Cain. Makes sense.
I just learned that the Wiggleworm and Technology make the greatest combo known to man.
Wiggleworm doesn't do anything to technology though.
Note: For Technology, this item only changes the shooting animation, the laser itself is not widened.

Wiggleworm doesn't do anything to technology though.
Wiggleworm is pretty shit, all it does is make it harder to hit enemies, and you can't angle shots with it.
Wow, had the Number one, then had 9 volt + pill bottle and got a shit ton of health and speed, so I did a lot of devil deals and I ended up with max speed, fire rate, damage, and 1 less range than what was needed to hit the room from across the other side (horizontally) Mom's heart and mom are incredibly easy. (but for some reason the flies are hard for me)
Anyone else use a gamepad to play? I do, and it's acting up- isaac will sometimes edge left a little bit. For reference, I use JoytoKey.

God dammit make native xbox360 controller support so I can emulate 360 controller with my Ps3 controller ;-;

That's the only reason it's not already in the game. edit: uh, actually now I think about it, do you mean 360 controller support in the game itself?
I'm arfaid my game is broken, I finished sheol with every charachter during this week.. the achievements (monster manuel, guardian angel and demon baby) are unlocked ingame, but not on steam.. happened to someone else aswell?
Yes. Took a little while but one day i loaded up Isaac and got all the missing achievements at once. Just give it time and hopefully it'll do the same.

It might work for you too.
