Gurdy is actually pretty easy, all you have to do is move out of the way when he attacks, and kill everything when he spawns them. Especially those pimple things on the ground. Those make it hard.

Well, to be fair, I did end up beating him. I just accidentally killed myself at the same time. (With a bomb.)
Also, what's with the slowdown? My framerate drops like a rock every time there's, like, three enemies on screen. It can't possibly be a hardware deficiency, either...

...The Womb, eh? Strangely fitting, although why would he be in the womb if he's already been born? Unless it's a metaphor of rebirth where he ends up being physically-regressed to a fetus and later obtains a robot suit, after which he becomes a maniacal scientist.
Twice, TWICE, I made it to Womb 2 as Judas, and TWICE I died. So much rage, the most.
So, played a bit more and... I like it. But not as much as I thought I would. For some reason, it just feels sort of... I dunno, empty? Like there's not much to it.
Then play MORE.

I suck so much at this game.
I never get the good items. I read about people getting max damage on the first level, the best I've gotten is better rate of fire. Although I also got triple shot, which isn't all that great.

Yeah, it does. It doesn't have Dungeons of Dreadmor feeling with it's unlimited items variety. They should really add more items per level, even with barely noticeable stats.
The depth and womb after a few playthroughs really stack the enemies and mini-bosses on you.
Multiple times in the womb i had to fight pairs of bosses in just one room. I just think there should be a shop in the womb since money is pointless at that point unless theres an arcade.

I don't think it needs more stuff. I think it needs to be more complex. There's not much to it right now. Every time you play it more or less plays out the same, with the only noticeable difference being the items you get. (And even if the items all look different, which is pretty rad, there's very few effectual differences. Basically you run faster, do more damage, or shoot a different projectile.)

I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm definitely enjoying the game. It's just... compared to "real" roguelikes, the variation between playthroughs is almost entirely superficial.

I just had the BEST first floor ever. I finish one room, get some bombs. Next room has a blue rock in it, I bomb it to get a small rock and a key, kill everything in said room to get a hanged man card. Next room has coins that total about 20, but they're behind rocks, so I use the hanged man. At this point I already have max damage since I started as Judas. Next room drops a pill that gives me a health up. Treasure room has Roid Rage (+1 speed, +1 range), and the room after that has a pill that gives me tears up. I might win this time. Oh yeah, there was a compass in the shop, so I bought that too.

So, what does Halo of Flies do? I have honestly no idea and I haven't really seen any effect whatsoever.
Halo of flies is like a shield that blocks projectiles. If you have 3 flies you are almost invincible.
K, i just bought the game but i can't even get out of the basement...
