Ask them if they have any plans to put any Half-Life 2 beta enemies in future Half-Life games.
Such as the Cremator, my favorite enemy in the Half-Life 2 beta.
This goes along with Green's question. but, are they going to do anything with cs 1.6, i has a huge player base both steam and nonsteam and they could release a huge dlc pack, making custom(tons of models and maps) official and charge like $1 and see what happens
Ask if they have any plans for mobile games on android and ios
The Hyatt is probably the best deal for price/comfort/proximity. There's a Red Lion Inn very close by that's cheap if you're on a budget. If you want the best go Westin, but it's really expensive.

Or to add to this, a steam client for ios or android so you can chat, trade, and submit files.
Video tape yourself going into their snack bar whilst humming the imperial march.

I remember there being a thread or something like that. Someone was working on an Android app so you could sync in your Steam Friends List into your contacts the same way you would with Facebook.
Looked pretty interesting, but it seemed to have died out. I'll see if I can find it.

How to make friends and influence people 101
Ask if they are planning on setting a new generation of FPS games, be it Half-life 3 or new Source or whatever.
Can you ask them a music related question? Like how important do they believe music is in creating a better gameplay experience, and how do they go about creating a main theme to go off of?
See if you could talk to Erik, Marc, Chet and Jay (the main writers at Valve). Ask them where they get influences from when writing for games. Also, what they think it would take to become a writer at Valve, if there's any sort of qualifications.
For the love of all that is good on Facepunch, do not ask them about Episode 3. Instead, throw them a curveball question, like Badunkadunk said, such as if they're working on any new series or if they plan to branch off into other genres of video games if DotA 2 is successful.
I'd definitely like to know what they'd have to say for that. I'm the lead writer and concept artist for a series project and I'm finishing the last bits of a 3 years in the making script. (Wanted to guarantee quality with it) I've also been working a bit on 2 sequels to it. I do wish to present the script to them to see if they would be interested in producing it, I think it would work pretty well as either an animated series (could be neat to see something like STEAM TV on Steam) or a game series with the way I envisioned it. It would definitely help finding what their policy on that sort of stuff is.
Ask them how many times they've finished work like models, materials, maps and sounds to then go ahead and scrap that work to make a better verison.
I'd like to know if they've scrapped any projects the public never knew about.
Have they ever considered an RTS spin-off for TF2?
Do they have sheet music for any of their game pieces, that could one day be publicly released?

What are they going to do about their dead games? (specificaly left for dead, day of defeat and hl2dm)
Ask them how long they intend to keep Dota 2 and CS:GO in beta.
Another one?
Have fun at valve, been there multiple times play tested games and crap very nice people and very casual work place. Also ask if you can see gabes knife collection its actually really cool. Although I don't know if he still has it in the building. He did in the old building.
Ask about Erik Wolpaw and Psychonauts, and about how they decided to hire their various writers.
Ask Gabe what he considers for people wanting to get hired at VALVe. What skills you should have, hours, etc.
Ask them if they remember prospero and if they have any plans with it.
Ask them about the Valve Studio Orchestra, things like how to qualify to play there, where they're hired from, where the main inspirations for the various soundtracks are from and so on.
How did you get to do this, are you doing a documentary or a student or something? Pretty sure they dont just let people in

I am currently holding Gabe's personal pastry chef hostage.

Oh I hope you're not serious. Valve hold tours all the time all you need to do is ask and they'll schedule one.
ask if he thinks the source engine could support frostbite/frostbite 2 levels of destructability.
Ask them: "Of all the games and mods that have been relesed this last year, what are there faverites?"
Ask Gabe if he has ever dressed as Santa.
