Guys I thought of a few Operation name Idea.
Do go on.
What is FSR, anyway?
FSR is an acronym representing the Romanian Special Forces Military unit. It stands for Fortele Speciale Romane or something like that.
I think in English it meant Force Self-Control Respect. We make all kinds of silly acronyms of out it though...
Do you have any figure on how approximately how many Romanians there are? And what about the real Koreans what is their position currently?
Do you have any figure on how approximately how many Romanians there are? And what about the real Koreans what is their position currently?
I did make a list of Romanians in a Google Docs a while ago, but they are somewhat cycling through. The ones who were here two months ago have left, and new ones have taken their place. As for RL Koreans it appears to be very very few, and the ones left alive are inactive. I may check up with Rory or Dan to see if they have running counts though.
The FSR put on a charade that they are not a PTO, however here's a link to a translated FSR article detailing their actions towards eSouth Korea up until some time around the new year: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ro&tl=en&u=http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/coreea-de-sud-romania-regelui-soare-1633626/1/20&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhhmjmtRUDCNvMobGO3oIKeoFwmwrg
Sorry to all that I haven't been able to hand out much food but I've been away from home and still am and therefore stuck with a poor connection that constantly cuts out. I've passed on what should be enough KRW for Monkey11/Sirius to feed you all up until the PP elections unless the food prices continue to rise.
If anyone has an interest in the history of the eNation I can write a condensed version of the past year or so which should explain how the nation is in the state it is today and how Facepunch got involved the first time.
That's me.
I had already made a brief summary here :http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1076513-Erepublik-Facepunch-Saves-Korea?p=29097193&viewfull=1#post29097193
If there is anything that you would like to add or amend just say so.
Also thanks again for the funding. I can very easily support the new citizens, easily beyond the upcoming elections.
when do I start actually doing more stuff? so far it's just been work, train, collect for 5 days. And I only fight when I'm like 5 or so XP away from leveling. The politics behind the whole thing seem really cool though.
The game really kicks in when you can buy a newspaper. You can begin campaigning and laying the foundation for a political career as soon as you can publish newspaper. That rite of passage blows the doors open, and really boosts the playability.*
Once you can do that, there are people who spend hours a day writing article after article and getting thousands of subscribers. If your not that level of commited there is everywhere in between. Any respectable politician at least posts an article every week or two.
The game as a whole really kicks into gear near election times. There is usually libel and slander flying around making for quite the interesting series of events. People also come out and actually try and get noticed for reelection.
The dates that we have most to look toward to is the 15th and 25th, party and congress elections. Especially on the 25th you will all be voting and hopefully a lot of you will choose to run.
Once in (a legitimate) congress, your dedication to the game will go up. People will discuss and negotiate tax changes, wars, and alliances, all of which you will want to be well informed on.*
Until all of this, I cannot stress the importance of being up to date on the media. When shit goes down, it pays to be first to know. It also lays the foundation for these later steps.
You can also fight more often, because it sounds as if you do not fight often.

Sorry if there are typos, replying on a mobile can be obnoxious.
Just made a guy in South Korea named Starcraft Master
I don't fight often cause I don't have money to spend on food. Well, I have like 60$ now but what's the point.
Fought in another war, I can vote now.
Thanks for the food yesterday. Got my health to 50, but got fired :v: Luckly its easy to get new job.
Question, when can I start selling gold in the monetary market?
Secondly, how does this tax system work?

The Romanians tend to get anywhere between 100-130 votes each month for the Presidential, whether they are all Romanians or just a large number of two-clickers who vote for him for whatever personal reason I do not know.
Of the RL Koreans I believe there is somewhere between 40-60 based upon election results and URF primary polls.

Okay, here's a more comprehensive history of eSouth Korea reaching back to just before Facepunch's first trip there.
Feb 2010:
~eSouth Korea is finally free from the Theocrats and forms the Republic of 798 (Their day of independence) under Spade, the Sun King. (Leader of a for-fun pseudo-religion called Sunocracy.)
~A independently acting Goon agent invites Facepunch to eSouth Korea in an attempt to get it to do the Goon's dirty work in PTO'ing the country.
~Monkey111 (Now Sirius Padfoot Black) and Abdul'Allah Kazim Zyrgazi take lead of Facepunch involvement in eSouth Korea after discovering the plot.
Mar 2010:
~Spade is re-elected as leader of the nation.
~Facepunch enact Operation Spiderman preventing the goons from gaining control of a second party and taking control of their own.
~Spade's account is hacked, it is never recovered.
April 2010:
~Peter de LusionisT Bae, a native born Korean wins the Presidency making him the first "RL Korean" President.
May 2010:
~Peter de LusionisT Bae is re-elected; on the very next day Japan declares war.
~Korean Government falls into anarchy, Joseph Orair steps up and rallies the nation.
~Eventually, a Russian MPP is finally agreed by the Korean Congress and voted through. Korea regains all lost territory plus the previously Japanese held Jeju.
June 2010:
~Defeating Joseph Orair, Arjay Phoenician wins the Presidency. eKorea's population and activity are greatly diminished by the war.
~A RL Korean baby-boom begins.
July 2010:
~Arjay Phoenician is re-elected, the baby-boom continues.
August 2010:
~De-facto Korean leader Grease, groomed by Arjay Phoenician and wealthy independent Alfagrem wins the election.
~Macedonian refugees win a Congressional majority.
September 2010:
~Veritas Causidicus with Macedonian support beats Korean candidate sangchi.
~English-Korean relations break down.
~Macedonians dominate Congress.
October 2010:
~Macedonian presidential candidate labelled a PTO.
~Grease brings in Romanian voters to secure his re-election.
~Macedonians now having their own nation leave eSouth Korea.
November 2010:
~Grease re-elected.
~English/Korean hostilities reach a boiling point, numerous veteran English players leave.
December 2010:
~Grease re-elected.
~Romanians impeach him the next day.
~Korean activity explodes.
January 2011:
~Korean candidate rythemdj is elected.
~Romanians refuse to give control of treasury to rythemdj.
~Romanian controlled Congress prevents economic action by rythemdj.
~Taiwan&Chinese landswaps are finalised.
February 2011 onwards:
~Romanians have dominated eSouth Korea crushing all opposition.
~Resistance has been disorganised.
Question, when can I start selling gold in the monetary market?

Level 15 to be active on the Monetary Market (MM).
Taxes: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Taxes
oh, if I put some bread on the market for 1 KRW, I'll get 0.8 (for an example) and the government gets the rest? And what can the government do with its money that a regular guy can't?

Governments use the money to fund MPPs (So that we can fight in wars with allies), provide welfare (such as the food drops we've been providing everyone with) and fund organised military units. (To better organise citizens for wars and make more "strategic" movements.)
Some also run state companies at a loss to ensure new players have a safe place to work where they won't get fired if they work under 90 wellness and can be provided help by cabinet ministers.
Can I get some food, out of money and I've been fighting in war - name is RagamuffinJoe

Did for me :v:
Made a citizen, named him Robert Savage.
I joined in on your religion, anything else I can do to help Facepunch?
Can anyone send me some food? I fought too much and now my health is pretty low, don't want to get fired tomorrow. http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/4678294
lol I'm still working at a job in Central Thailand while living in South Korea.
That's one hell of a commute.
Joined as "Sejer Ramirez".
I expect to do everything.
My health is at 20, is that bad?
Can I get some food? I have 50 health and have 2 KRW and 0 gold. I can also start a newpaper. :v: No idea on what to write though.
Yeah I'm thinking of starting a newspaper too, but I don't know enough about the games politics to write anything.
Not all newspapers have to be about politics, anyway. Maybe a cultural RP article. A review of Hamlet enacted by ____ and ___. We could slip in some propaganda, like ...and of course the president did not show up, there are not enough guns and death in Hamlet.
Are we even allowed to speak of other players in RPs without their consent?
I think I'll join you guys, the only problem is that I'll need to wait for tomorrow for me to have enough money to buy a ticket to get there.
