CHANGING RESIDENCE
Q: How will citizens change residence once production of Moving Tickets is stopped?
A: Changing residence will continue to be possible by using the already created moving tickets.
However, if you have no moving ticket in your storage you will be able to change residence by paying 20 citizenship currency / distance. (resulting in a maximum cost of 100 citizenship currency for traveling to the most far region in terms of distance)
Q: Who will receive the citizenship currency spent by citizens on changing residence?
A: Nobody - Just like in the case of buying land, the currency will be exit from the economy.
Q: Why 20/distance and not 10/distance?
A: The value of 20 has been chosen in order not to be in competition with those that still sell Moving Tickets and in order to help in the goal of making the local currency more valuable.
Well first off you do realize that current moving tickets are also bought with local currency. This really did not add much in usefulness of the local currencies.
What is interesting though is that this sounds like a great way to attack an economy, and create booming... deflation. Interesting... if your into that sort of thing :ninja:
What are your guys' thoughts on the Socialist party: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-sksoc-an-introduction-1745748/1/20
I played this for about a week, but have forgotten everything. Made a new account because my old was in the UK. Name is Wayne Amsel.

Personally, I think Rory is a good guy and typically I'd support him, but Socialist parties mean very little in eRep, (btw communist parties mean even less). I think his plans of equal voice for all members is a great thing, and something that I had always tried to incorporate with the FSDP. I wanted us to be playing for the group, not just OP and pals. I also agree with his "Party Philosophy"
However I think his MoPeace is pretty much useless. Everything there would easily make more sense being part of the MoPlenty or MoTruth. Supplies to Plenty, the guy making the guns. Orders to Truth, the guy making announcements :P
MoPlenty on the other hand is trying to achieve something that will never run as smoothly as he would like because of player nature and game mechanics. I am not entirely sure what he is aiming for but it sounds more like he wants to create a business cooperative (which is what it is actually called, at least in America), which is a company run by members for members, rather than a conglomerate. But this does not work because votes would be too stretched out and become ineffient, and in eRep not enough to vote on. It essentially becomes a regular company after a few weeks. If he pulled it off however that would be pretty cool to see, but overall not do a whole lot.
The MoTruth is a decent idea, but in Parties it is usually just the Party President. Delegating it off to a minister does not make it more "socialist". Other wise it is just a way to get someone else involved in the internal workings which is always a good thing to do.
Having a party IRC is something simple enough to do, that a good party should have one, but most don't. I am glad he is pushing for that. As for a forum, I think it is a poor management decision. It is good to be organized and all but when a National forum dies from inactivity, how does he expect a narrower audience to keep the forum going, especially when not all of congress will be there? Revivng the old national forum and from there making a sub-forum would be a much better choice.
Idk he has a lot of good ideas but application to a nation as small as Korea could just make things more difficult to manage, and possibly even scare people away. I respect him though. Not entirely sure who I want to win this election.

However I think Rory's main objective is to create something fun and engaging, which fits well with his agenda.

2 NEW BATTLES
FIGHT TO GET THESE REGIONS BACK. CHOOSE WHICHEVER ONE WE ARE MORE LIKELY TO LOSE IN.
We have not had these regions for quite some time and it would be very good to get them back. Also the more regions we have, the more seats in congress, and thus the better our chances. Actually focus on Jeollabuk-do, unless you happen to live in China.

Could someone send David Pech some food?
Could someone send David Pech some food?
David Pech can have food.
What does it mean to join the resistance side in fighting? good/bad? Is that what I should do? or just do that other war?
I did the other war, now I am level 14 and have 3 gold. Damn, those extra 190 KRW were useful.
Reistance wars happen when a ountry overtakes another country's region. The overtaken region can for ma resistance war. So, for us, it's a good thing ,we're trying to take back our region.

You are all low enough levels, that you should focus on the Jeollabuk-do battle. You would not have enough influence to make it worth moving to china for.
Leave Jeollanam-do to the well trained fighters. In fact it looks like that is SK dragons focus.

I hate the new "News" section.
Monkey, who should we vote for?

It might get missed due to the new news system so here's a link to a food drive that's going on. Just comment to receive free food.

Yeah this new news thing is pretty dumb. I liked the old system.
Just hit level 15.
It's only good for like, the top five countries since they have a big population and lots of articles.
For us it just makes us look dead and inactive...
These wars are great for ranking up. I have enough gold to start a newspaper but it needs a name. Any suggestions?
Also do we have any consensus on an Operation name?
Personally, I liked 'Operation Helsing'.
Operation "The south will rise again!"
Alright just signed up, my name is GuruGuru The BigGoron +rep if you get the reference. I've trained, now what else should I do?

You're missing the point. Currently tickets are bought and the money is sent to the company owner. However, in the future you will be buying moving tickets from the computer, effectively taking the money out of the economy.
This is a good thing. Back when I started, (And I'm sure you too), gold was $40 each. Now it is $200. This gives a massive advantage to gold buyers which the eRepublik team are trying to stop. This is the same reason land costs $1000 local currency, to take more money out of the economy.
Dachande Miles
is my citizen name
Oh and my name is Alex3442
The oil market is weird. There's one guy selling for 77, another one selling for 10 and another selling for 1 :v:

Which causes... deflation... How did I miss the point? I understand it takes it out of the system. Less money circulating, the higher the value of each dollar. It increases the monetary value yes, and also costs the country the money it took to print that local currency. Monetary value increases, but usefulness does not, as it is the same product.
Also eRepublik team supports the gold buyers, because that is the way they make money...
Could I get some food? Been fighting a lot, Matthew Blanchard is the name.
