Pretty sure it's a scheme. Hope it doesn't have virus in it.
You said we should fend for ourselves, that the only votes we'll muster for ourself are facepunch's. Well, I'm saying that I doubt we'll win anything with 22 votes. Maybe we should spend them on the people of higher profile. They are likely to do a better job, anyway.
Actually, if you split your votes properly you can get people in. 5 was the "safe" mark last time and you have 4 candidates. You can make certain that two get in by overloading them with votes or try and split it out to three or four and hope it's enough. (Assuming the safe mark remains the same which can't be told until the day itself.)

Most people of "High Profile" are going to win regardless. Our 22 votes will be bringing in a new generation of politicians. Facepunchers starting from threads just like this have made for great people. Veritas became one of Korea's best presidents (and I would have more than likely been president as well, if the goons hadn't assassinated me). Justin Tyme was one of the biggest Military minds in eRepublik and one of the most well respected people in Europe. They wouldn't have achieved this if they had just gave their votes to high profile citizens. It isn't always about who "does a better job", but the flow of new minds is always healthy for a country.
The people who deserve seats because they are high profile will get their seats. Household names such as Roland and Dan/naD will always have supporters. We are just aiming to take away seats from the Romanians, just like everyone else. Our 22 votes should secure some of those seats.
Oh, I didn't judge the value of each individual vote well, then. I was assuming we would definitely lose with only 22 votes for 4 people.
Can anyone get that link to work?
Pretty sure it's not supposed to work.
Can anyone get that link to work?
It was a gimmick account but the actual something awful link was to a League of Legends thread.
Pretty sure it's not supposed to work.
Pretty sure that I am terrified of whatever that link was supposed to go to. I think it actually is supposed to go somewhere, and if it did, the game just got even more chaotic.

Alright, that is surprisingly reassuring.
Can we vote for ourselves?
I am just hoping that half of the playing population is away for Easter or something.
I probably should have opened this thread before today
Who do I vote for?
Who do I vote for?
First off are you level 14?
Secondly, DO NOT VOTE YET. HOLD THEM AS LATE AS POSSIBLE. THERE WILL BE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THERE. CHECK THIS THREAD TONIGHT AROUND 10 PST.
Is there anyway we can see how many votes each candidate has?
[editline]25th April 2011[/editline]
Just got a friend of mine into ERepublik.
and he just quit. Fuck's sake.
OshitOshit automerge
Also, no way I can be here at 10 PST. I might vote for Rory.
10pm PST is like 8 in the morning for me
I guess I'll be voting on a virtual election in class then :v:
Thank god I have a smartphone
What? 10pm PST? That's 1am here. Do you think I have no life?
[sp]The proper answer is 'yes'[/sp]

Goddamnit, can't read Korean for shit.
So, I'm assuming the crossed-out ones are the guys that they don't vote for. If that is so, 6 is the safe mark.
We have 22 votes, that gives us 5.5 votes/congressman. Which means we can have 3 candidates on the safe mark with 4 to spare. One for each and another one for safety will give us 2 congressmen with 7 votes and one with 8.
Sorry can't be on at 10pm PST, that is 6 AM in the morning for me - 'gonna have to give me some instructions sooner or I'll just have to throw my vote at a random FP congressman.
Also, if they have 27 votes in Jeju, that means the progress party + resistance have 8
The "total votes:27" means total votes on all candidates on that region, right?
If so, I think the URf has an easy win here.
Also, is "presence" the ammount of candidates that voted?
Can I get some instructions on what to do because I won't be here at 10pm PST?
How do I vote?
[editline]25th April 2011[/editline]
Like what party/who?
I think 10pm PST is pretty unreasonable for anyone east of the rockies, thats 2am for me, and I have class tomorrow. Anyone who cant stay up till then want to move to Gyeongsangbuk-do and vote for me (Turtle Shan-gi)? Would be much appreciated.
I stand by my calculations.

don't blame me if I forget to vote then.
What the hell I put it on remember my password and such, and now when I try to log in with my password and e-mail it won't let me.
That happened twice to me, as well. And you're supposed to login with your citizen's name.
The reason you're asked to hold as long as you can is so that your vote can make the most impact. (It's easier to see where the votes will matter the less votes left there are to change the situation.) If people can say when the latest they can log on is I can try and remember to post the vote tally of their region for them if Monkey isn't around at that time to provide direction.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
