So Jeju got captured and now I am stranded in Taiwanese territory with none of the local currency - can I get a Q1 moving ticket please, I bought my own for the election. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] Also my employer sent me this, is it propaganda bullshit?
Shit mine too I think we either have the same employers or its propaganda
They had these around a year and a half ago, I really never knew why they got rid of them. These favor American players a lot though (One of the reasons eUSA used to be a huge super power). This is actually one of the reasons EDEN was able to beat PEACE in WWIII back in '09. eUSA was able to get massive amounts of gold from all the offer completions to fund their tanks. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] I can't find it.
Ah, oh well. Some things are impossible to do anyway, it's pretty shoot and miss. Though I have gotten some gold from it.
I'm looking at the Accounts tab on my page and for some reason Ukrainian and Swedish currency appeared on it. No amount of it, just 0.00. What's going on?
If you have ever been there, such as when traveling you had to stop, it opens an account. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline]
Please tell me this a joke. Has anyone else received this message?
Which is really weird since the boss seems to be RL Korean
A comprehensive history should be posted soon, though briefer explanations have been posted throughout the thread, and would be a good start.
Here is said history dating back as far as is necessary to understand the current situation (anything previous to which would be "good old days" ranting and rather irrelevant.) Please keep in mind that this is my writing and perspective and I have had several prolific bouts with both the Koreans and Romanians in game and therefore have a strong bias. If I have missed anything I was requested to post here let me know.
In September 2010 the main factions within the nation were the “2nd Babyboom Koreans” what we now call RL Koreans and the Macedonian players (eMacedonia was at this time not a nation.) Grease had just finished his first term as President and wished to step back into a ministry position to better focus on the economy. This meant that another candidate for the RL Koreans was required and sangchi was selected. I was the other candidate and having good relations with the then leader of the Macedonians within the nation they supported me. As evidenced by the Presidential medal in my profile rather than sangchi’s obviously I won. As was Grease’s wish he became Minister of Finance within my cabinet. However, within a week our relationship already strained by language difficulties from the previous month had reached a boiling point and he for a time stepped away from the game. This marked a decline in RL Korean activity and started the collapse of English/Korean relations which descended into a full-out nosedive in the following months. In the September Congressional elections the Macedonians won a significant majority and were under new leadership with which I did not have contact. Shortly after for the last week of my term Grease returned to the game and became a Presidential candidate, his opponent being Krale Marko the new leader of the Macedonians within eSouth Korea. A few days before the election Grease was in discussions with the eJapanese cabinet about ATO, he and the rest of the RL Koreans considered the Macedonians to now be a PTO group. It was Grease’s intention to import eRomanian voters as an ATO force of which he was advised against by both eJapan’s cabinet and various others within eSouth Korea. However, Grease persisted with the idea winning the election by 10%. The Macedonians following this left eSouth Korea the admins having finally implemented a nation of their own. Grease’s cabinets were dominated by RL Koreans sending the primarily English speaking Old Guard into an up-roar and began a prolonged feud in the media. During this time Clopoyaur gained increasing influence with Grease becoming Minister of Foreign Affairs and creating closer ties with eRomania. Several members of the English Old Guard noted the increasing number and influence of eRomanians in eSouth Korea and began trying to warn others, their warnings were disregarded or attacked. Shortly after the December election took place Grease was impeached by the eRomanians (FSR) and Clopoyaur took control citing that eRomanian players within eSouth Korea were being neglected as his justification. The RL Koreans were brought into an activity frenzy by the impeachment now labelling the eRomanians as a PTO. For the month of January 2011 rythemdj was the RL Korean’s candidate for president and was granted the state resources that Grease withheld from the eRomanians following the impeachment. The exact figures of which are sketchy but is commonly quoted as 700G developed by Grease’s own economic capability and 2 Q5 state companies first gained during my own administration while the FSR refused to supply rythemdj’s government with the remaining funds from the 100,000 KRW they printed for their own use during December. During this month rythemdj and his advisors developed and set into motion a plan to work with eJapan to wipe eSouth Korea off the map attempting to encourage the Romanians to leave. However, despite being able to remove eSouth Korea from the map they did not have the strength to defeat the FSR in the following resistance wars and were soon forced to stop intervening. Following the FSR’s re-election in February the majority of RL Koreans spar a few stubborn individuals moved to eJapan to re-consolidate their forces and raise new ones in a more stable environment. In the time since then the FSR has had undefeated reign of the presidency and resistance has centralized in the form of SKRev, a democratic union of English and Korean players. This is the point in the story where you all have entered and since then a Congressional election has occurred where resistance forces have coordinated well enough to create a hung Congress and recently high profile RL Koreans such as rythemdj have began to return from eJapan.
Also reposting the link to the FSR article in which they admit to their own status as a PTO: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ro&tl=en&u=http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/coreea-de-sud-romania-regelui-soare-1633626/1/20&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhhuMYbqOKj9ukQUWeLvc30pEB4RiQ
Woah, that is a lot of corruption there. So english speakers and native speakers were on really bad terms I guess?
Incredibly bad terms, we are still not 100% cooperative but relations are no longer of a hostile tone. There is still however a "us and them" vibe to the relationship that we must work past but will take months at least and some of us may never be able to work past.
Still haven't been accepted into Worst Korea :(
I was wondering what the easiest way of making money other than working is - because it seems like you need ALOT of money to just set up a Q1 bread company.
Wait, is there any way to get rid of my old character? [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] Or do I have to earn my way over to Korea?
Don't you also need gold for something like that?
Yup, 10 gold to start up your own company and 10 gold to buy the cheapest one on the market. Gold is about 150 KRW for 1 if my memory serves me well so it is about 1500 KRW.
Starting a company is difficult as fuck, because the big companies have huge sales and lots of employees. I remember creating a weapons manufacturer back in the day, and the only reason it worked out was because it was supported by the government. [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] I'll start a company in FP's name once I get to SK. I have about 40gold
"Nigrigori" reporting in... Just moved to S. Korea and requested my citizenship... [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] What does the daily routine look like, again? Training, working, and then eating? [editline]28th April 2011[/editline] and nice, after all this mission nonsense i'm almost a level 5 economy worker...
Just logged into my old account, ExDee. Currently in Germany at level 17. I have NO money from before. Could I get a ticket to fly to South Korea?

But fuck that, I want their gold/ work/train bonus
The next shift in the political situation is not until the 5th/6th of May. Up until that point anything I can try and find for you wouldn't be at all solid and likely wouldn't be actual work. I might not be able to be active in the thread for the next few days, may be busy so sorry if I miss any requests for food.
Still waiting for a change in citizenship, is there a way to speed up the process?
Not really, but you have alerted two or more congressmen, they'll probably let you in. I got a new article up, hopefully it'll help bridge the Korean-Western gap, probably won't, but fuck it. Also, that other friend I invited went to Portugal for some reason, anything we want in Portugal?
Could anyone send me some food? I am at 9 HP, no money and I cant work :smith:
Post your username, I'm a bit stretched on money, but whoever helps you needs your profile.

My article suceeded, We have crayven teaching Romanian, I'm teaching Portuguese (Haven't used it a while, let's hope it's still good), if we have enough people following the trend, someone will start teaching korean and someone'll teach English. Force this shit through, guys, we may bridge the gap yet!
Check your accounts. The HUD only shows units, not fractions.
