The Uzi was useless in both games. In MW2 you already had the UMP by that point, which is superior in pretty much every way. In Black Ops, it was kind of shitty, and there were a lot better SMGs to be used.
Kind of shitty? It was completely useless! You couldn't shoot 2 bullets without losing your target. I loved the Uzi in MW2 though. Sure, you had the UMP before that, but using that thing was pretty boring. I like variety.
While I may not be a huge fan of the series now, I can still remember some of the fun I had in MW2. Getting super excited for unlocking the RPG, just so I can be a massive asshole with it on a ground war match.
Achievement Unlocked - 90G
The Price of War
the sub base mission was a bitch because i fired one predator incorrectly and it started the timer at a bad spot. same with...nah...that was the only really frustrating moment
I hope Activision doesnt use an online pass in this one. Im going to have to rent MW3 now.
MW3 to have offline pass you heard it here first folks!

Would not even suprise me :v:
Activision haven't been using this online pass bullshit. That's all EA's deal.

CoD deals with spec-ops troops and irregular militias (in MP), so the weapon selection can be more diverse.
CoDs weapon selection just makes absolutely no fucking sense at all.

After CoD4 that is.

Wow, some guy just missed me while trying to knife me with commando. He went from the stairs to the AA gun near the back cave entrance in Afghan while I was basically at the entrance. What a fail :v:

I'm sure someone will find a reason to complain anyways.
Wait did that say all dedicated server's are unranked?
Ok so it's not really dedicated servers, more of a homehost thing.
Ok so it's not really dedicated servers, more of a homehost thing.
Uh, you can host a dedicated server from home. That's a good system for dedicated servers.
Wait did that say all dedicated server's are unranked?
Uh, yeah, maybe. I think it's because you can screw with the options and such, so they don't want people to be able to just boost on custom private servers. If you want to rank up, you have to play ranked matchmaking.

God dammit that's stupid. And I can't cancel my pre-order because I traded a tf2 hat for it.

You got a game practically for free, yet you'll still try cancel your pre-order?

If I had bought it with my own cash I would have.

Lean - "Why did they remove it? It was extremely usefull!" (on the thread)
I rarely ever see anyone use lean, and to be honest, not only it doesn't fits CoD's speed, it works like shit.
I like where this is going.
Better then this, only servers as big as CoD4's and the dynamism of a huge match where it would basically be side against side in a map.
Contrary to popular belief, special forces perfer to use tried and tested guns, not experimental and or unreliable exotic weaponry.
O rry? Special Ops troops prefer weapons built on tried and tested platforms (such as the AR-15/AR-10 platform). They don't necessarily prefer it down to the gun level. Sure some individuals preferred older tried and tested weapons... but a few individuals cannot be representative of an entire "division" of the military.
spec ops troops are fielded with newer weapons, fact. If it was all tried and tested, why do they use the SCAR? surely the M16 has been in service longer...
Also your point runs contrary to historical precedents, SAS units used the latest developments in weapon technology during WWII, the silenced sten and it's derivatives.
Why did NSWC-Crane develop the SEAL Recon Rifle? for special ops troops.
what does the S in SCAR stand for?
My entire point that because MW2 dealt with spec-ops troops and irregular militia, the weapon selection would be more diverse.
God dammit that's stupid. And I can't cancel my pre-order because I traded a tf2 hat for it.
Why the fuck would you cancel your pre-order over that?
Play some match making until you hit the max level (shouldn't take long) and then just play whatever game mode you want on dedicated servers. I mean, the dedicated servers will basically just be custom games, where you don't even need your rank or whatever, so what's the big deal?
Thing is though that Server Admins decide what is unlocked on the dedicated servers. So some servers will have every item unlocked, and others may choose to ban certain weapons. So you can still play using every weapon if you don't want to spend time ranking up, and it also makes it easier for servers to enforce their own rules (Sniper only for example).
I don't think it's too bad to be honest - boosting was incredibly easy on dedicated servers in COD4, and the problem with Black Ops was that most servers were Nuketown 24/7 as people wanted to rank up fast. IWNet had a lot of issues at launch but now I find it works really well on MW2 so I don't have a particular issue with it being used in MW3.
source? I'm not saying that they would be using exotic experimental weaponry, I'm just saying that they would have access to the complete armory of the US, including the newer weapons.

They may be fielded with newer guns, but not weaponry untested in the field or currently being developed. You won't see many Navy SEALS with the XM8 because it's untested in the field and was never finished.
Oh, so I read it right. You need to do matchmaking to level up, and then you can play with Lv.80 unlocks wherever you want...
Wait, matchmaking as in... client hosts? What exactly do they mean with it?

My real issue right now is that it puts me in games with the worst of lags, so... Yea... Its like no one anywhere near me or anything plays and only middle easterners play it.
Also, is it just me, or that Elite video showed a MK14 with a grenade launcher?

so? I never said that spec-ops troops would use the XM8
I said that the fact that MW3 features spec-ops troops will make it's armory more diverse than that of BF3, because IW can throw stuff like the SEAL Recon Rifle in and it makes sense (if a character is a SEAL)

Only a few men in a special forces unit would be fielded with exotic weaponry to test it, the rest of their team will be using the tried and tested platforms and weapon systems in case the one being trialed fails at any point.
There is a bit of truth to spec ops forces using exotic and prototype weaponry, but it isn't anywhere near as common as TV, Hollywood and vidya would like us to believe.

yup, ofc. Most of USSF uses the latest versions of the M4A1 Carbine.
I'm just saying that the military does indeed field "newer" weapons with SOF, from the other guy's post it made it seem like they just used normal gear.

How do you know it won't take long to unlock everything? I'm mad because Mw2 hosting/matchmaking was awful and it's going to make ranking up horrible.

Its going to be common that if you're playing on a dedicated server you'll be able to use any gun or attachment (either that or they'll all be sniper only).

I like unlocking stuff.
Then dont play on dedicated servers. The matchmaking was fine in MW2.
