There was an issue with your connection, then. The servers were fine. The host would migrate if everyone was lagging, so it was probably just an issue on your end.
Matchmaking is fine, and works well for trying to rank up.

The matchmaking itself was fine, but actually playing a match was difficult because it would lag a lot, and it wasn't my connection people would mention they lagged when I did and the only time it switched host was when the host left.

That's not how the host migration works. If a host is lagging more than half of the players in-game, it'll boot the old host and choose a new host. If it was lagging that many people, host migration would kick in.
The problem was that you probably were put in shitty games, with either very far away hosts or hosts with bad connections that your internet couldn't deal with.
When MW2 was released, I'd only get max bars (no lag) with my own country as a host or myself.
Nowadays, not even half of the players that were in the game play, so I'm stuck to getting very shitty hosts that are probably on the other side of europe or running a wood modem connection.
Got the MW3 controller, sticks are [b]very good[/b] but it should be a bit cheaper.

He randomly jolted to the left and killed me through the wall. Way too accurate and quick for human input. Then his team proceeded to tk him at the start of every round until he quit.

I got a basic xbox controller wired for like $69 at EBgames, generics costed $30 but I didn't want to manually map it.

I had a pretty weird confrontation with some guy aswell.
He and everyone else said he wasn't cheating or whatever, but he basically turned back at everyone as if he always knew where they were without an UAV.
Met a few speedhackers myself.
Grenades take care of em easily.
