So, with the support strike package in MW3 you can only get your streaks once? Because they don't reset when you die. Am I right?
Incorrect, you keep your progress upon death, and the streaks loop after you get your last one. Whoever loops the lowest streaks is going to be annoying to deal with, that's for sure.

Yeah. UAV, UAV Jammer, and then something else low. You'll basically have constant radar for your team and have theirs constantly jammed, especially if you have hardline.

Support will definetly have its uses compared to assault, hopefully more people go support and actually attempt to help teammates.
Xjaws is a fucking jackass.

Yeah, he's an arrogant prick to be completely honest.
I'm not too sure how I feel about MW3 and whether or not I'm going to pick it up right away. I skipped on Blops and MW2 is the only game I've ever traded in, but I find the MP really fun and addicting, which makes it hard to decide if I want to drop 60 bucks for this and not something like Skyrim or Skyward Sword.
Oh well, I guess...
If 11 is your highest, when you get 11 it resets your points to 0.
Why do I suddenly think this will be WAY more overpowered then any other killstreak?
I can get more kills with a good row of UAVs. That's actually how I'm able to get any other killstreak past that.
Yeah, finally finished downloading and watching that vid and all I can say is wow.
Doesnt know the diffrence between the SCAR-L and the SCAR-H, complains about the map looking like crash (not really identical imo), supposedly played it at comicon....right, bitches about lag when its only his connection that was bad. Plus he was using the Kick perk, even though he basically said he didnt like the idea.
However IW made the M107 look way too small (and modeled the ejection port on the wrong side), and pulled the L118A designation for the AWM out of thin air.
I do like the way the SCAR-L looks to handle, the iron sights for the M4A1 look pretty cool, and the USP still has that near auto fire rate. Graphics look about like I expected, which is to say not bad. Couldnt really hear the action over his commentary.
Actually, he compared it to strike I think, which looks even less like the one he played :v:
Looks more like crash imo, but thats just because of the area around the downed helicopter.

Seems a bit OP tbh...
Unless the other team takes everything down (highly doubt it)
But seems also awesome.

That would be me. Get constant UAV's and Counter UAV's and deny them of any airsupport at all with SAM turrets and allow someone more confident with their skill to get streaks from the Assault package. That sounds like a basic lockdown strategy. Although it would be tempting to ditch the SAM's for more UAV/Counter UAV's.
I knew I shoulda pre-ordered sooner, and got it from one of the more known companies, but I've got myself a hardened edition pre-order. Seriously, almost everywhere in the UK is out of hardened on Xbox. But they say that I should get it on release day, and if I don't they give me £3 credit to buy anything there... £3 isn't much but eh.

UAV, CUAV, SAM turret. Yep, sounds like this is gonna be a good tier of streaks. Hopefully lots of people use it though, because honestly, if this doesn't say "GET YOUR ASS IN THE BATTLEFIELD AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM BY GETTING KILLS FOR UAVS AND CUAVS", then idk what does. Considering you can die and still get streaks, I hope people are less afraid to run out of their camping spot.
4 more days for me! Can't wait.
I should try and save up money for MW3 after i buy Battlefield 3. Im glad im not so hyped up for this unlike MW2.

Really, it depends how many people end up using Assassin. If too many people do use it then UAV and Counter UAV's become next to useless.
I think matches are going to be quite interesting especially with Support strike package users, simply because they can play their style of game still and be getting those higher killstreaks, so those 3-4-5 users will probably be more dangerous than they were in previous games.

Eh, probably. But if assassin is overused, then I'll just use other streaks that are probably more helpful, like that mini-helicopter that you control and you can spot people. Doesn't that put them on the mini-map for other players to see?

If Assassin users are too frequent in my matches I'm making a Recon class with the helicopter drone as one of the streaks and tag them.

Yeah I think you also get points for tagging em too :buddy:

yeah, it gives you 50-100 each person spottted. Not really sure since I've seen both.
Assault Strike Package
3: UAV · 4: Care Package · 5: Intelligent Munitions System · Predator Missile · Sentry Gun · 6: Precision Airstrike · 7: Attack Helicopter · 9: Strafe Run · Little Bird Guard · Reaper · 10: Assault Drone · 12: AC130 · Pave Low · 15: Juggernaut · 17: Osprey Gunner
Support Strike Package
4: UAV · 5: Counter-UAV · Ballistic Vests · Airdrop Trap · 8: SAM Turret · 10: Recon Drone · 12: Advanced UAV · Remote Turret · 14: Stealth Bomber · 18: EMP · Juggernaut Recon · Escort Airdrop
Take your pick, men. Remote turret might be good for defending a flag/bomb. Stealth bomber will be interesting to say the least, as it's now in support. Ballistic vests does seem useless and not many will pick it up. Recon drone isn't TOO high either, I can easily get ten kills.
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Recon_Drone
holy fuck the drone blinds and deafens players who are tagged a bit. AWESOME. Totally using that.
UAV, CUAV and...
Either SAM turret or recon drone.
Since the streak doesnt restarts after dying, now I can actually get a SAM without some dick with a bit less lag kill me from the other side of the map or knife me.
Afaik, the SAM turret only has 4 rockets in it, so it will take out an AC-130 by itself unless they changed the flare count.
[editline]4th November 2011[/editline]
wish it had maybe like 6, that'd be nice.
Oh... Thought it would be more useful... Then again, we'll probly get lots of them right?
i certainly hope so, but then again just look back to see how many kills you normally get in TDM or something of that nature. On average i go something like 15-4, i'll probably run 4-5-10 Ballistic Vests on 5 till i guage if it's legitimately useful.
And this may be unwise but i think with one of my prestige tokens i'm going to unlock the Stinger...
Does the support juggernaut have a weapon other than the riot shield?
Pistol i believe.
Im hyped, but will probably wait till people get trough their first love season with the game and start to bash it (always happens), then I will see the real reviews and can decide if I´ll buy it or not.
It was quite humorous to watch how Black Ops was hailed as the best COD ever created, even by famous commentators like BlameTruth and Seananners. The only commentator who never liked the game to begin with was SandyRavage. Then after 2 months, everyone was taking back their first opinions of the game started to bash it. Now everyone agrees that Black Ops is the worst COD ever made.
So yeah...

Well...
I only played the modern cods but, it really was the "worst" of the bunch. But only because of the technical problems it had and still has.
I did expect it to be huge because they said it would be like MW1 again, which in the end really wasn't. Other then that, I didn't see any other reason for it to be the best.
MW1 still has that mark for me, at least among the modern ones.
Everything is just soo tightly made, so fluid, so well done. There aren't any game breaking technical problems.
MW2 suffers from the lack of dedicated servers, which coupled with the latency from hosts and speeds and stuff, turns your online experience into mush.
BO suffers from poor hit detection, stuttering and a bit of latency aswell. Better then MW2 but it can still get in your head on PC. Not to mention they could have used IW's MW engine instead of Treyarch's own. Sure their used to it, but its more outdated and seemingly worse compared to MW2's engine.
(BO's engine is basically a slightly updated version of WaW's engine, which is a slightly updated version of MW1's engine. MW2's engine is a somewhat more updated version of MW1's engine that seems to be better in quality and performance than BO's)
Its better that you wait for the game's release and for opinions on it. I'm 50/50 with it. I think this time, they made it alot better then MW2, hopefully the same or even better then MW1. On the other hand, I fear the game might end up like BO, with poor optimization on PC and rubbish online connections.
I'm optimistic though.
If the support thing is overpowered all they need to do is maybe add something in where after you hit the last streak it doesn't reset till 3 or 5 deaths after, would stop uav and cuav abuse for a bit.. going to be intresting how it plays out though if say 3/4 of a team are using the support streaks
I bet people wont use support only. But then again, there is no nuke and killstreaks don't count towards moving up on your streak anymore like in mw2...
24/7 UAV spam.
But then we have SAM turrets aswell...
Wow, they seem to have thought of everything. Everything seems to have his ups and downs instead of just ups or just downs.
Anyone wanna go on Black Ops on the xbox to mess around or MW2 either way is fine, i'm drinking so fun will ensue.
I'll play some CoD later tonight
Why on consoles...
I wish we could go back to the trolling like we did in mw2 before one of us got the group banned...
It was one of the most enjoyable moments I had in mw2 with FP. Like that time where we all went to the bathroom in Estate and popped some smokes :v:
on consoles because ima poor man with no gaming computer

I have the pc version too and would love to, but at the weekend i'm at my dad's and only have a crappy pc here with xbox.

Change moneyflow towards pc instead of console -> win
but yea, if you want to be confortable, a console really does the trick better.
(long live playing GT4 on a ps2 in bed!)
