To be honest I rarely see many Call of Duty fans attacking Battlefield. It's mostly the other way around.
The thread title changed too, for those of you who haven't noticed.
I see CoD fans attack Battlefield like any fanboy attacks any other game. All games have those people.
The Battlefield fanboys with their "We are the master tactical strategists of the FPS world and are the cream of the gaming crop" attitude are just incredibly pretentious. Especially when it turns out to be untrue; I have had far more teamwork and objective play crop up in Black Ops Ground War than I have in BF3.
Can you guys explain why you find this better than BF3? I dont get it, BF3 has lots of more stuff and potential Imho, no need to start shitstorm. JUST EXPLAIN ME!
I played it before i played BF and my friends play it, so i play it too...
So pretty much like black ops' multiplayer? anyone know if everything is unlocked for local games still?
It's likely separate :l
In black ops splitscreen everything was unlocked, but still separate from online. Like that?
I am considering purchasing this game to play it with a couple friends who bought BF3 to play with me even though they prefer COD. Where is cheapest place to buy? Preferably not a Russian key.

I personally do because EA is a shitty company and I hate giving them my money, and I really just prefer fast-paced, casual gameplay. If I have five minutes to kill I want to just hop onto Call of Duty, play for five minutes, and then quit. With Battlefield you have to get legitimately involved, and sometimes they don't let you quit, etc. etc.
They're both good games, Call of Duty just appeals to my playstyle better. I don't really think either is better than the other.

In private games you can set what's unlocked and what isn't, so it's totally up to the host player.

Faster paced gameplay in CoD, which personally I prefer over BF's slower larger scaled battles. However I still hate MW2 and I will not be buying MW3 because I don't want to buy the same fucking game again.
Hey garry
I love you.
okay which person did the "if you thin mw3 is better than bf3 close this " on top of the site?

Fast, smooth arcade shooter with more emphasis played on personal ability rather than teamwork. Teamwork still exists in objective modes but not to the same degree where you have to rely on it for victory, as in BF3. No vehicles but more refined infantry combat. Similar campaigns, mostly on-rails setpieces.
As Grim said it's up to you which one is better. Modern Warfare 3 is a small-count, fast paced arcade shooter where as BF3 is a huge vehicle-based, not really tactical but still not an arcade shooter where teamwork comes into play much more. It's hard to say one is outright better than the other because they just appeal to different crowds.
Yeah, i have no problem with ea, but with BF3 i have randomly going to server problem that is dices work to fix. I have black ops and there is something that i like in it, but i hate some matches when you'll die within 5 steps forward :D. And i dont want to say that MW3
is shitty game but BF3 has nice feeling to it when tanks roll and exploding everywhere, that's what i like. Also Activision has bad habit to suck all money that they can get. BF3 and MW3 are great games, but imho MW3 looks like a map and gamemode pack for MW2.
Maybe i just should try it to see.
AND BTW: http://www.intkeys.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=74&products_id=288&zenid=807ee516b18739a80450fddc2ffb664a MW3 for 35$ dollars, legit site. i bought Bf3 here, it was RU edition so had to download english, well atleast i saved some money :). And sorry if this is posted already.
Imo BF3 is better because of you getting more involved. I love the team work that sometimes comes to you and how awesome some people can be. I also like the slower paced play style were you can sneak around more and be alive longer working in a squad.
I disagree on Battlefield having real tactics tough, only clans would do that shit.
BF3 rather has these mini-teamwork moments were you just stick in your squad and cap stuff and be all like "OMFG THERES A SNIPER GUYS WHATDOWEDO?!"
CoD is fun to me but nothing I would play too long or take to seriously, rather something you can just pick up play a few rounds and forget and move on.
CoD seems like more of a casual game to me. It's fun to play a few rounds with friends, but if you want a game that you can keep playing for a long time then BF3 would be a better choice.
It's all personal preferences, some people like that instantly hop in action fast paced kill everything type of game and some like the slower hop-in play longer and have some teamwork on the go type of games.
Reasons I find CoD better then BF3:
1) EA is not attached to the project
2) Origin is not required
3) It seems as if development is starting to make steps toward improving the PC experience, not harming it.
In all honesty I am a die hard Battlefield fan and was looking forward to BF3 as much as I was looking forward to Skyrim but EA has fucked up so much stuff and I refuse to support a company like that. Im not saying that Activision is much better but personally 15 dollar map packs is not nearly as bad terrible customer support and design decisions(Origin/battlelog)
I made a self pact saying I will not buy a game EA has such an impact in until they charge pace.

I can settle the BF vs Cod right now.
Halo has faster paced gameplay than both, vehicles, and more games modes = Superior.
I kid.
I will do like i did MW2. I have Gamefly and it comes to great use. I will rent MW3 dick around with my friends a little but i'm sure i'll tire of it like i did MW2. Even with Black Ops i enjoyed playing Zombies more than the actual game, lol.
I hate all the arguing, IMO BF3 and COD are great fun for me, i love them both

Remember the Black Ops PC disaster? CoD isn't in much better shape.

Halo is much slower paced since you have t o empty an entire clip into a playerto kill him, which has always put me off that series.
But god damn it, something about MW3 is dragging me in. I don't want to buy it on principle but damn I really enjoy the nice fast paced gameplay so much.

Origin and Battlelog isn't bad at all.
I actually almost prefer Origin since it is faster to start up and takes up less resources then Steam.
Steam just has such a wide variety of games and it's nice to have them all at one place.
Battlelog is pretty much just personal what you think but it isn't bad in the aspect of having a server browser in the web. It's actually a really good idea imo and it's nice to so them trying something new. I don't really see why they couldn't have made a quick in-game server browser for those who wanted it but it doesn't bother me personally that much.

The pace of Halo actualy depends on the game mode and or map. In certain modes on certain maps = Bodies everywhere constantly. Sometimes you just walk into a room and everyone's in it killing each other repeatedly......Good shit. I think Gears of War 3 have much more spongier enemies than Halo.
Do like me, get Gamefly and then you don't have to buy things!
Origin and battlelog are not bad, but they are bloody useless. Battlelog would be ok as an optional web manager, but origin just doesn't need to be there.

I do like Battlelog now to keep track with buddys online, etc. I'd prefer to have an in-game server browser too but i'm not fussed.

In before "BLANK is the most overpowered BLANK in the history of BLANKS.".
I wanted Arkham City from GameFly. They sent me MW3 instead. GameFly why you so stupid? Oh well I guess I get to see if its good or not.
The mall near me is having a DJ, free food and drinks, and the US Army is having fun events at 10pm tonight.
Count me in.. mostly for the free food/drinks though.

Knowing El Presador he'll hate modern warfare 3 in a few weeks. I still love his videos though.
Not to be a dick, but...
Dice announced 15$ map pack with maps from BF2. People go wow and start fapping to it.
In other words, the same people who whine about DLC in cod, are now sucking Dice's cock for their DLC, which is almost the same thing as CoD based DLC, except its only 4 maps from BF2 (CoD releases 5 maps, 2 or 3 which were from cod4, and people throw a tantrum at them)
Your move FP.
(Sorry, just had to show the hypocrisy behind all this)
Ontopic, I'm gonna have to get up at 7am tomorrow...
Not for school, but for MW3 :v:
Wait, mw3 is out now today? on my birthday? oh god
